New York is a very active and buzzing city, with crowds hurrying everywhere. The cruise was an opportunity to see another side of NY where ther beauty of a summer afternood could be appreciated

A unique and pleasant experience, although I am sure that it could be quite uncomfortable in poor weather. On board cocktails quite pricey

Since this is a tall ship, it requires a higher turning radius and therefore does not take you very close to the Statue of Liberty. Other fast/small boats do take you more closer to the SoL. The ship moves slowly, so you have more time to click photos, see the Statue.
Moreover, the crew was good and supportive. Worth taking the tour.

It was a wonderful experience!! Only had a little problem with checking in as I thought the e-mail would be enough proof of purchase but the clerk wanted a hard copy. Other than that, things were smooth sailing. lol.

Beautiful ship, neat experience, but would be so much better with some type of guide. I wanted to know things like where did Sully land the plane, how has water traffic changed since 9/11 etc. There is no narrative tour at all. Zero. Great if you just want a ride out to Lady Liberty and back.

it was nice . i've been on other cruises in NYC. there is no interaction with the tourist. it seems the crew just wanted to complete the trip . overall its worth it just going on a sail boat . could make it interesting though :)

Boat trip was fine - just 2 comments about service.
Emailed ticket said I could use e-ticket from a smart phone. At dock, ticket taker told me, I was supposed to print. Just need to be clear.
also, only cash bar onboard - no credit card. Seems antiquated in this day and age.
Staff was nice.

staff very friendly, but main reason for going was i had never been on a sailing boat before, and sails never went up ! there were other boats out that evening with sails up, so very disappointed
