Good tour, very informational. Bought as a gift and enjoyed!
Entertaining, full of information, The tour guide was also very concerned with our safety, while walking through the city and took steps to ensure our safety, while walking through the city. Our guide was also very personable and funny! Our son and his best friend thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
our guide Paul was very knowledgeable about all the superheroes. His stories about the making of the movies and some of the secrets behind the making of the movies and the actors was really interesting!!!! It was great to see where the movies were filmed and also go into some of the buildings too. The bar at the end had wonderful drawings and we all ended up with a personalised drawing of a superhero by Paul a cartoonist. The group was small so that was a bonus too. My daughter and I thoroughly recommend the tour if you are a superhero fan.
We really enjoyed this tour! We were very impressed by the tour guide and his wealth of knowledge of all things superhero related. We'd definitely recommend this tour
I did this tour with my comic obsessed 21yr old son the guy taking us round was very interesting and there was just about the right mix of comic/other info so it wasn't boring for the non comic geeks
There were 6 in our group which was great so we could hear everything
My son was impressed with the comic book facts he gave us
This tour is a great way to see the landmarks from the movies. Paul's knowledge of and commentary about the comics, cartoons, and movies added tremendously to the tour. The tour ends during happy hour in a bar with the handiwork of almost all of the famous cartoonists scrawled on the walls. How can you beat that?
Our son (17) really loved the Superhero walking tour. We learned a lot and got to see some really interesting sights. We are glad we did it!
Absolutely fantastic tour. The guide was so knowledgable and was an actual cartoonist himself. He knew all the great illustrators and took us to their drinking haunt to see original drawings on the walls! We walked out the actual doors superman did! A good walk over 2 hours but not in a taxing way, we stopped a lot and the pace was slow to accommodate everyone. Definitely recommend this tour as a difference way to see New York.
Perfect! My 12 year old grandson loved it and I had a great time myself!
Excellent tour! Awesome tour guide. My 10 year old son, a superhero expert, found the tour of great interest and learned some new facts for his already incredible repertoire of superhero information.
I would recommend the tour as a great way to spend 1.5 hours in NYC and see some great sites.
We thoroughly enjoyed the Superheroes tour - one of us had read comic books for years, the other one of us had never read one - but the tour was great fun for us both. We loved seeing some of NYCs major sites whilst learning bits of Superhero history and trivia. The pub at the end of the tour with walls covered in artwork by Marvel and DC artists was a great way to top off the tour. Highly recommended.
The tour was a great experience. It was fun and interactive with video clips and chances to take pictures of sights that were used in many movies. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and the locations and sights that we visited gave us fun new way of looking at city my friends and I have grown up in.
My son is the superhero fan, my wife and I not quite as much. However this tour appeals to all, you learn very many interesting facts, are able to stand where superhero movies were filmed. And you have a guide that makes it fun. Last stop the secret pub that many cartoonist show off their work was a gem, the guide (being a former cartoonist) even sketched a pic of Batman for our son.
The Superhero Walking Tour of New York was BRILLIANT!!! The tour guide was very welcoming and friendly, his depth of knowledge and inside stories of the comic book writers he had met were excellent and made it much more than a simple sightseeing tour. There were a lot of opportunities to take photographs of sites which had been used for superhero movies and the tour guide showed us videos at many of the sites of how they actually looked in the movie. As a couple (and for the other people who had attended together) he was quite happy to take photos of the both of us at various sites so we could have some nice photos together. As someone who is not really a comic fan (this tour was a present for my partner who is a "die-hard" comic book fan) the tour guide made it very enjoyable and interesting, whilst also including lots of "geeky" information for the die-hard fans! Thoroughly recommended!!
Our guide, Paul, was extremely knowledgeable, entertaining, and an overall nice guy. There's nothing like a superhero tour from the real-deal DC Comic animator. He brought the history of super-heroes to life, while showing us a vibrant view of NYC, that we would not have experienced otherwise - like the inside of Grand Central Station, the Chrysler Building, and Daily News building where Superman was filmed. He walked us through the locations where Avengers was filmed and we captured some great snapshots. Kudos! Can't wait to go back and take my kids.
This tour was one of the best I have ever been on. Paul, our tour guide, is extremely knowledgeable, amicable and funny. We learned all about the amazing history of DC Comics, Marvel Comics and their heroes as they pertain to New York and American culture. I would count this as a "must do" while in the city.
I thought the superhero walking tour was great! I'm not really into superheroes but I got it as a present for my boyfriend and we both loved it! The tour guide had so much knowledge on superheroes and always kept it very interesting! It was a very fun trip and I definitely recommend it!
Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was a great way to orient ourselves to this area in NY city. This was approximately 3 miles of walking. We were the only people who brought kids (for a reason). My 12 year old loved it, but it was not really exciting enough for my 9 or 5 year old, plus it might have been a little bit too much walking for them. I would say 10 years and up...
A great time and very informative, as a lifelong fan of comics, and a new arrival to New York it didn't disappoint.

Fun Experience and loved the last restaurant to look at the cartoons. The daily planet was a huge treat as well :)
Walking tour but not a real long distance and I'd say more standing than walking. Guide Paul very knowledgeable in the world of animation of Super Heroes. Took us from comic book store out to park where some of the early animators got there start and ended with the bar they would end up at after working mean while stopping at Grand Central, Chrysler Building, Daily Planet etc
My 10 year old son and I had a fabulous time. Even though I am by no means a superhero aficionado, I learnt a lot and my super hero son was blown away. Very well worth it! Paul was great, knowledgeable and showed us parts of New York that I don't think many locals even know about. Big thumbs up!
