The best and most informative tour, guide was brilliant - sorry recall his name.
We'd previously walked around "the rock" and we realised we missed masses of good stuff.
If you like art deco buildings this is a must.
Our first day and stop in Manhattan. A great breakfast in the Rockerfeller Centre and very reasonable. Great walk around the building and then the lift to the Top. Great views both side of the Rock and Manhattan.
Absolutely wonderful, Kim the guide was fantastic, he showed us so much we have missed if not for him. Views from top amazing. Highly recommended.
This was a great experience which i highly recommend when travelling to New York, the unobstructed view is located on the 70th floor, and just below that on the 69th floor, is another observation deck which is protected by thick plexi glass . Either offer a wonderful view of the city, but for those wanting to take professional type photos, use the 70th , and get your tickets for at least one hour before sunset if that is your goal. This deck fills up fast, and there is competition in order to get the the front and take the "perfect photo". I thought i'd write a review for the photographer, since these are things i did not see on other reviews (or maybe i missed them). Take your voucher to the bottom level of Rockafeller center - you can take the elevator or stairs down there. You will find signs that direct you to "observation deck" go in that office at anytime - DO NOT GO NEAR SUNSET AND EXPECT TO GET TO THE TOP in time, there is a huge rush at sunset. They will print the tickets for the time you desire (even if its hours away)- based on availability as they control the number of admissions per trip . Then once you have your ticket you go to the entrance at your scheduled time. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the top, once you clear security checkpoints. It is very easy with this voucher and most of the work is done for you , with the exception of printing your actual ticket and showing up.
I went at night and it was simply lovely seeing Manhattan lit up. There was significantly less people than I imagine during the day time which made the experience very enjoyable and more romantic. There wasn't much of a crowd, but it was nice to skip the line there was (even at 9:30pm at night) with my voucher. Highly recommend.
Fantastic views of Manhattan and the Empire State Building well worth it!
Highly recommend. I went at sunset and have some fabulous photographs. Well organised, slightly difficult to find entrance. Well worth doing, though there are a lot of tourists. Possibly less visiting this during the week
The view from the top of the Rock was beautiful! We didn't have any problems turning in our vouchers, we didn't have to wait in line. It was great!
The staff warned us about the weather being cloudy and visibility was poor, but it was our last day so we continued anyway. The lift was amazing and the viewing platform was quiet with not a lot of people around.
Although it was a cloudy morning, this atmospheric condition made the empire state building appear moody and mysterious - great photos!!
The tour was very well organized and interesting at every level. The views were amazing.
