Our 9/11 tour was a bit rushed but excellent nonetheless. Statute of Liberty was awesome
Our pre-arranged tour started with the Wall Street Experience, continued with the 9-11 Memorial and the Statue of Liberty on October 17, 2013. We were greeted on time in the morning by our knowledgeable tour guide Remy G. who was friendly and personable. He provided interesting historical information and anecdotes about the financial district, as he confidently guided us through the area and pointed out the important landmarks. Next, we were able to enter the 9-11 Memorial with minimal waiting. Remy escorted us to the reflection pools where he allowed us to spend some time looking at the pools and the structures, and provided us with information to enhance our understanding of the current and future memorial. He was flexible to allow us a short time at the gift shop to purchase souvenirs. We had a pleasant walk to Battery Park, where we were able to promptly board the boat to Liberty Island. Remy gave us helpful information that prepared us for our visit to the Statue of Liberty, so we were able to enjoy exploring the island and the statue at our leisure for several hours in the afternoon. We were glad that we were able to go on this comprehensive and worthwhile tour.
Our walking guide Rob was very good, and so was the Statue of Liberty et al.
Excellent trip and the tour guide, Remy, made the trip. If i do more trips in New York City, I will ask for him! Great experience and very informative. Travel with my family, two late teens.
The best money I spent while visiting NYC. Our guide Remy was the best! Knowledgeable, funny and entertaining. The tour was just the right about of walking and site seeing for an afternoon.
This was an excellent value for money tour. Our guide Reme was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining.
The memorial visit was very poingent and humbling.
All in all very good.
Our guide was great lots off knowledge only bad thing was the weather
We had Remy as a tour guide and he's the best!
He is so enthousiastic, he's a bundle of knowledge and knows the best stories and anecdotes. He's familiar with every detail of the city. We really enjoyed our tour with Remy. During the tour you get to know all the in's and out's of New York, the history and the New Yorkers itself.
Another advantage of a tour is that you get skip all the waiting lines with a guide!
Tom was an amazing guide who gave us loads of fascinating information and the small group made it a very personal tour which was excellent. The 911 Memorial tour was very sobering, perhaps a few more minutes there to wander would have been good. Statue of Liberty was a great trip. The weather was beautiful. The booking process was very good and I would use and recommend Viator again.
I wish we would also have taken some time to go into the 9/11 museum. Remy was a fabulous guide but I had small children with us and he walked a bit fast for them to keep up.
Note from Viator: Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Unfortunately, the 9/11 Museum is still incomplete and is not anticipated to open until Fall 2014. We're glad you enjoyed your tour guide and hope the time spent at the 9/11 Memorial was memorable. Happy travels!
was a little cold for standing and being attentive, but Remy was great at entertaining us. Great itinerary for all ages, very historic which is what I was looking for...my 15 yr old granddaughter even enjoyed it all!!!
We arrived with our voucher to find our tickets hadn't been processed and given to the guide. However, a quick phonecall from Remi and it was all sorted. On the coldest day in Dec this year we did the tour, the history was great to learn about, especially on Wall Street, 911 was worth doing, however I do feel that 10 minutes to take it all in was far too rushed, I would have prefered 30 minutes at least to take it all in, especially as the boat leaving for Statue of Liberty goes all day so no need to rush. All in all a good day and definitely the best way to see the main sights.
We enjoyed our tour, it was informative. It would be nice for the tour guide to know where a bathroom is for people who may need it. We did not hear stories about the victims, survivors and heroes of the infamous terrorist attacks and there wasn't any time to stop at the memorial gift shop. We also did not receive priority boarding to the ferry. I was under the impression that our tour guide would accompany us to at least the Statue of Liberty but she left us at Battery Park. Maybe a better description of this tour would be A History of Wall Street with guide to the 9/11 Memorial.
