First class trip. It's a long day but you get a good lot of photo ops at all the main sites. Tour guides were exceptional, very knowledgeable and seemed to be able to speak in 100 languages! Well worth doing if you don't mind a bit of travelling. Top notch!

The tour guide was informative and humorous, discussed sites on the bus, and gave us free time to explore on your own when you're actually there. The down side was that there was no sign on or at the bus as the booking confirmation stated there would be.

While visiting NYC, we took the Washington DC day trip. The trip to DC is four hours there, four hours in DC and 4 hours back to NYC. That sounds like it could have been a very rough day, but it wasn't. It was wonderful. We stopped half-way up and half-way back for breaks. The tour guides were EXCELLENT. We were on kind of an "international" trip with about 30 people, both Americans and Europeans. It was great. The guides could speak like 4 or 5 languages between them. Stopped and got out at all the key DC sites. The Capitol Building, Washington Monument, White House, Lincoln Memorial, Vietnam, Korean and WWII Memorials, and the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. We could not have asked for a better experience, fulfilled all our expected goals.

Wonderful trip. Guide was excellent, very informative without going into too much depth. Definitely recommend this trip.

The actual visit was excellent, even 2nd time around. However, having turned up at coach 1 hour early, we were last on coach because we were not on the list of travellers. Total indifference by the host on the bus and the lady in the office when I called was also less than apologetic. This was despite us calling before the trip as instructed to confirm our attendance. The tour guide was good.

The bus turned up late and to find our name was not on the list. One would think that after paying the full price, not a deposit and leaving a confirmation message prior to the tour that you would be on the list. However the tour operator was able to accommodate us and the tour was enjoyable. We visited the main attractions, considering the limited time available in Washington.

This is a long day, but it really is a great way to get a snapshot of Washington DC. We got to see most of the main tourist attractions.

This tour was a basic introduction to Washington DC, in the sense that you visit Capitol Hill, the White House, the Air and Space Museum and the three Memorials, Lincoln, Korea, Vietnam all in the space of 4 hours. However, if you want an extended stay at each location or to visit more obscure locations, this is not the tour for you. We only had about one hour at the Air and Space Museum - and that included lunch - which was clearly inadequate. Also, we never visited Arlington Memorial even though it was only a short drive away. The guide was adequate, although not referring to Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech when we visited Lincoln Memorial was a glaring omission. The coach was comfortable. Also be prepared for a 4.5 hour drive each way.
