Wanted a day out from NYC and a taster of what Washington had to offer. This trip ticked all those boxes. Comfortable bus, stopover breaks, visits to all Washingtons main sightsees ( just pity Arlington maybe wasnt included - this could have replaced the unnecessary stop at a gift shop ) Good value for money. Highly recommended. Note at start of trip, not clear which queue to join. The meeting point is the departure point for up to 10 coaches, NONE posted with destinations, and on either side of the Park Street bridge ( so not easy to know where to join the right queue. Simple sign boards for each bus would solve this problem. Only by asking did we find the right bus eventually.

Enjoyed the day very much not long enough would have lived to stay, however the day trip was well worth it.

The trip was great an we had enough time to visit the sights. Matt the tour guide did a good job and also everyone in the group followed the schedule so we didn't have to spend time waiting for someone.
The starting point at Grand Central was a bit confusing because there were several tours departing at the same time. I suggest that the tour guides should hold some kind of a sign so that it would be easier to find the right bus.

The Washington trip was amazing. It was a little like a Contiki Tour (6 countries in 6 days) but that is was the distances we had to travel. I loved everything about the trip except the Madam Trussau. I would have loved to see the Jefferson Memorial instead. The tour guide was very informative and even though we didn't have a lot of time at each stop it was enough for a fabulous photo. The lunch stop was very "boyey" but interesting. I think it was a great touch that the movie we saw on the way back to Manhattan was about American politics - very appropiate. We had an amazing time and would do other tours next time we are in the States.

It is great to see where all the important decisions that affect us all are taken. The White house, the lincoln memorial etc.... are as I imagined them. The guide on the trip was excellent with a lot of humor and information.

A long day (as per other reviews) 13.5 hours but well worth it!! Bit of confusion and fuss getting everyone onto the correct coach. Day was well planned to ensure we saw as much as possible, got a good commentary about American history. Our guide was humorous and looked after us well. Felt safe as the coach was well driven and came back via the scenic route to avoid the traffice jams :-). Weather was glorious, we left the rain behind in NY and drove into sunshine. Would use Viator again for deffo. Value for money. The Space and Air Museum, which we thought would be one of the highlights of the trip, was disappointing not a patch on the Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. Everyhting else met or exceeded expectation. We even had a film to watch on the way home- brilliant. Thanks to all concerned for a brill day.

This was a 13hr day with a 4 1/2 bus trip each way, but worth it if you are short of time and want to experience Washington. A pity that this tour cannot stop at Arlington Cemetary. We had a great guide that made our bus trip entertaining at times!

4hrs each way on a coach but well worth the benefits. Thoroughly interesting day, the only downside being the lack of time at each location. Weather was atrocious when we did this but 2 drivers were great and the guide was very informative and accomodating.

It was a great day out and the long coach ride seemed to go so quickly as there was a lot to look at on the way. We saw all of the main sights in Washington and enjoyed our time in Madame Tussauds and a souvenir shop. We were initially worried that the trip might be very long and tiring but it was not at all! A great day out of the busy New York City
