This tour was a basic introduction to Washington DC, in the sense that you visit Capitol Hill, the White House, the Air and Space Museum and the three Memorials, Lincoln, Korea, Vietnam all in the space of 4 hours. However, if you want an extended stay at each location or to visit more obscure locations, this is not the tour for you. We only had about one hour at the Air and Space Museum - and that included lunch - which was clearly inadequate. Also, we never visited Arlington Memorial even though it was only a short drive away. The guide was adequate, although not referring to Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech when we visited Lincoln Memorial was a glaring omission. The coach was comfortable. Also be prepared for a 4.5 hour drive each way.

Very interesting tour. We visited the most important monuments in Washington and took great pictures. Very kind staff.

This is worth doing, but I felt it was all rushed.

A very informative trip. The only downside was that we were on the coach with 3 other nationalities, so everything had to be explained 4 times. Sometimes we missed important landmarks because they were still being explained in another language. I would have thought 2 languages would be plenty per trip.

A long day with 8 hours of travel but well worth it. Some parts were a bit rushed but this is the trade of off doing it in a day. Some more time in the Space Museum would have been better but the overall tour and guide was very good.

This tour is very worth doing in spite of the long bus trip. Our tour guide was wonderful!

This was an excellent way to get a taster of Washington DC. The trip was well organized with a very informative guide. The day is spaced out well with plenty of time to visit Capitol Hill, The White House, and the various memorials. The only down side was the stop for lunch at McDonald's at the Air and Space Museum, so don't expect fine dining!
Reviewed by: Samantha S, United Kingdom, June 2007 Note from Viator: Thank you for your comments. We have discussed this with our supplier. Normally the tour breaks for lunch at the Air and Space museum in the cafeteria where there is a large selection of different food options. This tour may have gone to McDonald's due to traffic jams or other delays that caused the tour to run behind schedule.
Good knowledgeable guide. Best use of all the time we had in 1 day, yet the pace was great and not too rushed. Some constructive feedback - Perhaps getting everyone's mobile number if they had one would enable calling people who were late. Starting punctually, or within 15-20 minutes would be even better.

An excellent way to see DC in a short amount of time! It is a long day - I wouldn't have minded less time at the stop for coffee/food on the way there and back to shorten it. Otherwise very good indeed.

I thought we needed a bit more time at places, but it was very fun overall. I enjoyed our tour guide's and driver's jokes and information. My only complaint: I had a hard time finding the bus at first. We were wondering if we were in the right place until we got onto the bus.

Great trip. Though I would have enjoyed more time at the White House, Capitol Building and the monuments in Washington DC. There's so much to see.

The bus arrived 30 minutes late. There was some confusion as to which bus passengers will go to due to language differences. Food should have been included for the fair we paid and also needs more time. Passengers who has disability should board first and leave the bus last not us waiting for them to disembark and also waiting for them to come back knowing the time we had was very limited , they should come back on time like everyone else. I had a great time but not enough time to look around.

We were very excited about visiting Washington but were not prepared for the 5 hour drive. The coach was packed, and there was heaps of traffic. We didn't get back to Times Square until after 10pm because of all the traffic. Washington itself was lovely, and we saw all the main sights. It would have been good to visit the Pentagon since it is right there, but it was not part of the tour. The Air and Space Museum was a waste of time, and the Pentagon or even the FBI building could easily substitute. Also, we had no spare time. The only time we got was to eat lunch at the museum - a choice of McDonalds and McDonalds. And our guide was terrible. While full of facts, he lacked enthusiasm. He didn't once try to get to know the people on the tour, seemed like he couldn't be bothered and raced around the sights to the point where we lost a couple of people on the way. And he wanted a tip at the end of the day! He put a damper on things. Overall, I'm glad I saw Capitol Hill, the White House and the memorials, but it could have been better.
