Great day trip, took my daughter who turned 10 whilst on vacation. well worth it, meeting place easy enough to find, place to grab food from right beside pick up point. Would highly recommend, tour guides friendly and informative. its great to pass through the other states - Philadeplhia, Delaware and Maryland. time just flew by, bus journey home opportunity to sleep. glad we did it :)

This is a long trip, we returned to NYC in 14 hours. For someone like me who will never be able to take a separate trip to D.C. or just want's to hit the highlights of the city this is a great trip. Plenty of breaks for food and whatever and enough time at each attraction for all the picture taking you want. Bring a book along for the highway and you will love this tour.

I loved Washington DC. I arrived at the meet up spot around 6.30am for 7.00am and found people already gathering. The roll call process was a little rusty to begin with as our guide just called out people's names and it was a little hard to hear and people just gathered around him even if they had their name called. There were also two buses (one for Italians (for translation) and the other for English) - it was confusing to some people as to which bus to get on as it wasn’t signed and you’ve got 50 odd people not knowing what was going on, that might need to be better organised in future. Other than that the whole tour was fantastic - we got to explore several sights (Lincoln Memorial / Korean War Museum) before heading off to the White House, Capitol Hill, Air and Space Museum and Madame Tussauds. Overall great tour and well organised.

It was a long day after an early start buit very worthwhile. The journey was broken up by stops, and the agenda when we got to Washington was varied and interesting. But what made the day really special was the steady driving of Chris, our patient driver and the fantastic flow of information and jokes from our guide Michael. Would definitely reccommend this day trip..

This is a long day trip, but worth every minute! The start (at 7:00 am) is a little chaotic, but everyone is pre-booked so once it settles down and you find the correct coach, no problem. Note, there is a Delicatessan at the start for early breakfast/coffee or supplies for the trip. The run to Washington is broken half way for a comfort break, with plenty of time for a coffee and/or snack. In Washington itself you get to see all the main attractions, with plenty of time for photos. The lunch break is in the Smithsonian Museum and is retricted to MacDonald's so beware of that unless, like me, you quite enjoy the occasional burger!
The guides are excellent. On our coach there was a mix of Italian, English and German. The main guide spoke in Italian and English whilst a supporting guide spoke to the Germans separately so no-one was overwhelmed by multiple translations. Overall, the trip took 14 hours as traffic leaving Washington was very slow, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and felt it was great value.

This trip is well worth while doing. Beside value for money the trip covered most of the sights of Washington DC in a very heavy day schedule.
There was ample time at each stop for photos etc.
