What You Can Expect
After a safety briefing, hop aboard a 70-foot (12-meter) yacht that actually was used in the America’s Cup races. Your captain and crew will assist those who would like to participate in sailing, and no experience is required. Or, simply sit back and soak up the sights including Jamestown Harbor, the Rose Island Lighthouse, the New York Yacht Club, Hammersmith Farm, Fort Adams and Newport Pell Bridge. You’re in good hands either way!
Enjoy chilled water and juice on board; you’re also welcome to bring your own snacks. After taking a turn at the helm or just admiring Newport from the water, return to the departure point, where your once-in-a-lifetime sailing experience ends.
Nice trip, good wind, pleasant crew.
My wife and I went up to Newport RI last weekend for our 25th Anniversary. I surprised my wife with this trip and it was fantastic! We spent 2 hours aboard the Heritage with Capt Gus, Jenny and Dunkin and they really made it enjoyable. The views were great, racing the Dolphins along side the Yacht as well as taking a turn at the Helm was awesome!! Would hightly recommend this trip!
Great sail! Captain and crew very accommodating! Would love to do it again
What a great time!! The crew was wonderful made this one of the best experiences. would highly recommended doing this. Love it.
This trip was booked for our 15 year old son and two 14 year old friends visiting from Costa Rica. They loved it. My son wants to take sailing lessons now. The crew were great. It seemed to me they were genuinely more interested in making sure everyone had a good time than worried about the money. Refreshing.
This was the best part of our family's trip to Newport. Kevin was our captain, he was friendly, informative, and easygoing. He offered to let my 10yo steer the sailboat. He was ecstatic! The sailboat was in fantastic condition, the day was perfect. I truly enjoyed seeing Newport from this vantage point. The check in process was easy, and the check in person was friendly and helpful in giving directions. It was a thrilling adventure.
Great people, outstanding views, and a wonderful experience. The effort went VERY WELL.
Gus, Jenny, and Duncan were a terrific crew! What an amazing experience !
Our sail was terrific. We highly recommend this ability to sail on a historical boat. Our captain Kevin was extremely knowledgable and his crew Kelsie and Charlie were very engaging and got us all involved.
The Captain and the crew were most hospitable. They educated us about sailing skills and the boat show. I highly recommend this sail!
