From the Table Rock Welcome Centre, located in the heart of Ontario’s 3,274-acre (1,325-hectare) Niagara Parks, join more than 8 million annual visitors who get up close to the thunderous Horseshoe Falls. Stand at the brink of the rushing falls as they descend over the rim and watch one-fifth of the world’s fresh water crash into the Niagara River below – an astonishing sight! During summer daylight hours, the water flows over the edge at a rate of 40 miles (65 km) per hour!
Then ‘Journey Behind the Falls’ for exclusive access to Horseshoe Falls, just one of many cascades included in the magnificent Niagara Falls. Take an elevator 150 feet (45 meters) through bedrock to tunnels that lead to the Cataract Portal and the Great Falls Portal – situated one third of the way down. Walk through the tunnels for awe-inspiring views far behind the waterfall and head to observation decks located at the very foot of the falls.
From the upper and lower observation decks, admire the massive wall of water as it cascades down. Stand in the mist (during spring and summer months, you'll receive a complimentary biodegradable rain poncho to wear for protection) and watch the impressive Horseshoe Falls descend from 13 stories above. Listen to the sound of thunder as you soak up the incredible spectacle – it’s as close as you can get to the falls!
