Terrific ride! It was only 25% as exciting as the open boat ride, but much drier. This ride allows you to take photos, which cannot be taken on the open boat ride. This ride is terrific for those with small children, those wanting to stay dry, and those desiring to take photos. You do ride the rapids, but in the dryness of the closed boat.
This is a great alternative to the boats that leave you soaked with water from the Niagara Lake. The domed jet went through the same rapids and also included some great historical facts about the local geography of Niagara.
All went very smoothly, website easy to use, place easy to find staff very friendly. Boat ride spectacular. Hope to do it again someday.
The jet boat ride was exhilarating!! The tour guide was amazing, and thorough about the history of Niagara Falls. They stopped numerous times for picture opportunities. They even did some bonus runs, which made the ride longer which I thought was generous. Overall, a great experience and highly recommend it to anyone who plans a trip to Niagara Falls!! It's a must do ride!!!
It was lots of fun, but I would recommend the Jet Boat with no dome for more excitement. We went on the Domed Jet Boat because my husband did not want to get wet.
I was very disappointed because I wanted to do the open boat rafting trip and I was informed by a Viator rep on the phone that it wasn't available, so I chose the enclosed boat. When I got to the check in I found out that the company WAS running the open boats. The problem was that it took us almost an hour to get there and because we were doing the enclosed boat (which you don't get wet) we didn't bring a change of clothes. Thus we did the enclose boat which was about as exciting as the old submarine ride at Disneyland. We were very disappointed, not with the operation that runs the tours, but with Viator for giving us incorrect information.
