Small-Group Tour of Valbonne Village
Take a leisurely walking tour around its charming cobbled streets, and then tour Fragonard Perfumery, where you’ll learn about perfume manufacturing and the history of this intriguing perfume house.
Continue to the medieval village of Valbonne, less than half an hour away, and take a stroll through its picturesque alleyways, stopping to browse quaint boutiques, stocked with local arts and crafts. Sit down for lunch at one of the many traditional cafés in Vallbonne’s Old Town (own expense) before relaxing on a scenic drive alongside the Loup River. Arrive in the majestic village of Gourdon, perched high on a rocky ridge, and head to a viewpoint for sweeping views of the Cote d’Azur’s dazzling coastline.
Return to Nice and visit Château de Crémat -- one of France's smallest yet most beautiful wineries. Built on a site that dates back to the Roman invasion, the estate is steeped in fascinating history as well as fabulous wines. Sample glasses of the local Bellet wine during a professional wine-tasting session, and enjoy breathtaking views over the city before returning to your hotel.

Our tour guide was great! He even found an additional tour for us to do in the same amount of time because it was too rainy to spend too much time outside. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We found each location on the tour to be facinating. I did a similar tour in 2005 when I was there for the summer, and it was just as enjoyable the second time.
Even though it was rainy, the tour was worth it. Once just cannot seem to plan the weather in the springtime. :-)

My mother and I really enjoyed this tour. It was just us and one other girl. Our guide Zara was wonderful - very sweet and full of interesting information. The Fragonard perfume factory was interesting, and Gourdon was quaint although there was not much to do or see there. I think our favorite part of the tour was the Chateau the Cremat winery, however! It was such a gorgeous place and the staff was so friendly.
My only complaint was that there was some confusion about whether or not to go to Valbonne - she kept asking us what we wanted to do and where we wanted to eat. Having never been there before, we had no idea! I wish the company had pre-arranged lunch at a restaurant with a good reputation so that we weren't wandering around trying to figure out what to do. We ended up grabbing a panini at a tiny shop, which was fine, but not what I'm used to on these tours.
Overall, definitely worth the trip. It was nice to have a day mid-week where we just showed up and everything else was taken care of.
