we really enjoyed it. we got great perfume. Our tour guide was very helpful and kind.
One of my favorite tours. The views and small towns were just amazing.
Everything from start to finish was excellent. The pickup, the route, the guide and our fellow travellers.
Would recommend this tour to everyone.
This was an excellent tour--the guide was knowledgeable, informing and personable. We were picked up at our hotel at the appointed time and the van was most comfortable. We had sufficient time at each stop for exploring and were not hurried, yet the tour continued at an acceptable pace. See previous reviews as to refund remarks.
I highly recommend this tour. Our guide Karolina was lovely...very knowledgeable and offered a nice variety of experiences within the day. This particular tour is a great way to see the French country side that we would have not otherwise seen.
The tour was great! We had more than adequate time to enjoy each stop and never felt rushed. Nice variation of sites, with perfumery, winery and mountain top villages. Our guide, Olivier, was outstanding.
A wonderful day out with Zara. We learnt so much about Nice and the surrounding area - Zara is passionate and knowledgeable about the area. Our tour of Fragonard was excellent. Lunch was in the picturesque village of Valbonne and then we headed into mountains to Gourdon for stunning views across the region. Last stop was the winery - again a wonderful tour and tasting some excellent wines. We highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide Oliver was fantastic and we saw many more places along the way. Wonderful!
My husband and I had a great time on this trip with Wagner as our guide. He was upbeat, knowledgeable, and a terrific person to spend a day with.
We started the day in a small village market about 45 minutes from Nice. Then we went to Grasse for a tour of the Fragonard Perfumery. This was very interesting. Our guide spoke terrific English and was very knowledgeable about the perfume making process. We especially liked being able to sample different perfumes/colognes for men and women at the end of the tour. We were on our own for lunch in the city of Grasse. We found a crepe stand nearby and had a delicious quick lunch.
Then we went to the small town of Gourdon in a somewhat mountainous area not that far from Grasse. We ended the day at the Chateau de Cremat which is one of only a handful of wineries in the Nice wine region called Appellation Bellet. We had an interesting tour of the winery including an area built by the Romans to store wine. Then our visit concluded with a tasting of several wines. Our winery guide was very knowledgeable about the wines and the region making our tasting all that more enjoyable.
Interesting tour - and great guide Sisilia ! The perfumery was amazing and our time in Gourdon was Great !
Loved This tour it was one of my favourites. Vasille was so nice and very informative. Great job!
a very nice experience, our tour guild is very nice. during this trip we are able to visit a few nice small touns we were not be able to see by ourselves without car
Great trip to a beautiful area of France.I would not buy perfume again in Grasse as they are overpriced ,and even at Nice Airport the perfumes were cheaper!
Our tour guide was great! He even found an additional tour for us to do in the same amount of time because it was too rainy to spend too much time outside. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.
We found each location on the tour to be facinating. I did a similar tour in 2005 when I was there for the summer, and it was just as enjoyable the second time.
Even though it was rainy, the tour was worth it. Once just cannot seem to plan the weather in the springtime. :-)
We had a delightful young man as a guide who did his best to keep us on time and ensure we had all the right experiences. As is often the case with such tours, we could have done with another hour or two built in so that we we could explore Grasse and the other two villages that we visited in more depth. The wine wasn't too my taste but the explanation of the process and the tasting experience of the locally grown organic wine was good. Overall, a great half day tour.
In this trip, we got a chance to see the beautiful part of Provence, visit Grasse, which is the perfume capital of France and taste local wine Bellet. This is worth a day trip. It would have been even better if the driver/guide can explain more about the places visited, the culture and history behind.
Interesting tour - and great guide. Just felt that there was some spots we had more than ample time to visit and others were rushed. Would be good if there is some consultation on what the group wants to do in terms of time allocation particularly when a small group.
We had a great time on this tour! The purfumery was amazing and our time in Gourdon France was breath taking! We had lunch in Gourdon with views that were incredible! If it wasn't a cloudy day, you could have seen about 90 miles in each direction. The only recommendation I would have is to do the wine tasting in Provence. The wine tasting is at a beautiful chateau in Nice, but we thought we'd be going to a winery in the country-side. Other than that, it was a great trip!
Very interesting and varied tour. Knowledgeable, friendly guide, plenty to see and filled the day comfortably.
The tour guide was well informed and able to answer our questions. The tour was comfortable we were collected from our hotel and driven from place to place. We did a lot in one day and the timings were spot on.
This tour could be largely improved by the following:
Perfume tour: Make sure the tour guide is fit for the job. She was loosing her voice and although she had a microphone it was still a whisper. Nobody wants to strain their ears to hear.
Lunch: We were told about an awesome place to eat with great views and arrived to find all the restaurants full up. Book a table - make it part of the tour!
Perfume tour: We returned after learning about the production of wine to taste it best bit of the tour. There were three other couples who had spontaneously arrived at the vineyard and were making loud noises about buying cases of wine, our tour guide quickly averted her attention to them. We were left sitting at the back. We had paid for our wine tour - they hand't! Also three small tastes of wine red, white and rose is not what I call wine tasting - rather stingy!
Very nice landscapes. Instead, the guide seemed pretty bored, he was not on the mood for a lot a explanations.
I would give this trip more stars if we hadn't had a tour guide who was doing the trip for the first time. I didn't do any reading about the towns before we went because I assumed we'd have a guide who would tell us something about each one before we got there so we would know what to see. Unfortunately, all he told us was how much time we had to get back. He also gave the impression that he dislikes tourists. It was nice to have a "driver" but it would have been considerably better to have a "guide". The trip itself was interesting and the venues lovely which is why I would give this a higher recommendation perhaps if we'd had a different guide.
