Enjoy the beauty of everyone's favorite city, starting with a drive along the waterfront with its view of San Francisco Bay and photo stops at Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park and Twin Peaks (weather permitting). Then from Pier 41, the Blue and Gold ferry boat sails to Alcatraz Island. With superb vistas of Alcatraz Island and San Francisco Bay, the tour features the major attractions of San Francisco and you will see:

Your tour also includes the ferry ride to Alcatraz Island and an audio walking tour of the 'Cell Block'. This former federal penitentiary also known as 'The Rock', housed gangsters such as Al Capone (Scarface) and Machine Gun Kelly. You will learn about the famous 'Escape from Alcatraz', it's famous inmates and much more. The park rangers who meet you on arrival are available for guided tours of the prison. The guided tours take place at various times throughout the day and are included in the cost.
The schedule for the day depends on the availability for Alcatraz. You will be advised of the tour schedule either when you call to re-confirm your tour 24 hours prior, or upon arrival for the tour on your selected date of travel.

The tour schedule for the day depends on the availability for Alcatraz. For example, if Alcatraz is available in the morning, the tour commences at the pier to begin with the Alcatraz portion. Your tour guide will advise what time to return to the pier to join the city tour (at approximately 2.00pm)
If there is no availability for Alcatraz in the morning, upon arrival at Fisherman's Wharf you will commence the city tour and then continue to the pier for Alcatraz in the afternoon, returning at leisure.

- The Alcatraz portion usually takes 1.5 hours to complete, with its audio tour consisting of approximately 45 minutes. You are advised to inquire on your arrival to the island as to what time the next guided tour will begin. There is no restriction on the amount of time you spend on the Island. The ferry boat service departs Alcatraz every 30 minutes and you can disembark at your own leisure

- Wheelchair facilities are available. However, passengers in a wheelchair can be accommodated only if they can get on and off the bus on their own and if the wheelchair is foldable.
