This tour provided us with the best views of the city from the Rockefeller Center. It was the wrong time of year to travel on an open top bus. The top floor is usually closed off. You can't see much from lower level. The bus took three hours to do half the uptown route due to snow and traffic. We got off in Harlem and caught the subway. It was great fun though!

Tour was brilliant but the last bus left too early at 5.30pm so we were not able to do all four loops, as we ran out of time. Some confusion when our tickets were issued, the email receipt was not worded correctly and the office girl did not give us our tickets for the Liberty Island Ferry. So we wasted time going back for them, and it didn't included going inside the Statue of Liberty which was not made clear at the start, so that was a bit disappointing.

I did this my first two days of the trip and it is a great way to discover New York and find out where the hot spots are for the next couple of days.

This is by far the best way to see all of the sights in New York. The hop on hop off facility is great, and we didn't have to wait long at all for the buses. Having the tickets for Top of the Rock and the Liberty Island ferry made things much easier and quicker, and was the best money we spent during our visit. All but one of the tour guides used their knowledge and humour to make the trips very enjoyable. You must sit on the top deck to appreciate the tours, but remember to wrap up warm as it can be a bit breezy in autumn and winter - especially near the waterfront. Top of the Rock was the highlight of our trip, with spectacular views over the city. Big thanks to our guide for the Rockefeller Centre - he is an asset to the company and personalised the experience for us. We highly recommend this 48 hour ticket.

Why would you queue for the Empire State Building when the views from here are so fantastic, and they include the view of the Empire building!

This is an excellent way to see most of city, though there was almost too much to do in 48 hours! The bus tours were excellent. Top of the Rock was unmissable. It was easy for us to exchange our voucher.
