Excellent view over city. Nice, safe observation deck. Smooth process and little to no wait time.
we went to see the Today show at 7:00 AM, so that allowed us an hour to see the show, because the observation deck did open until 8:00 am, that was perfect time as there was no line at that time.
No lines! Great views of Central Park... highly recommend!

One word AMAZING!!! Had booked for evening of our arrival Thursday 26th April but as wet and misty saved our vouchers until Sunday 29th (Thank you Viator for selling vouchers that allowed us to change the date to suit the weather!) - so worth the wait, the views from all sides were even more amazing than I thought they would be and to see the Empire State was truly stunning, my previous view of New York "roof tops" was from the Empire State 3.5 years ago but in the daytime so we decided on a night time viewing this time. The efficient organising by the "Rock" team from checking in for a time for the lift to the time we left was very smooth and made the experience a truly memorable one for our last night in New York!

The view is excellent and we also did the deck at night which is a completely different experience. Do the night one as late as possible as much less people!!
We wanted to go up in the dark so we waited until it actually was dark before we went to the (very short) queue - only to be told we had to wait another hour to go up BUT that was our own fault! I recommend checking on your way through to get booked on a lift sooner rather than later. There is plenty to do though - shops, restaurants and the ice rink so its no problem hanging around. Short but informative info videos and a photo opportunity in the queue so the time passes quickly then its up to the top for stunning views over the New York night. Highly recommended.

***** booked online and printed off voucher in UK before we went. No problem redeeming vouchers at the Rock. Recommend this as there are excellent views from the top, as good as empire state building but the bonus is you can get superb views of the empire state building!
Absolutely amazing views! A great vantage point to see the Empire State Building. Arrive early to avoid the crowd.
I took this trip at night deliberately to see the lights of the city. I wasn't disappointed and the fact that there was a full moon was a bonus.
