Absolutely loved it

The driver was very friendly and informative. Our hotel didn't have bus pick up service but the hotel across the street did. We just walked across the street for the bus pickup. Tour lasted from 8am till 5:30pm, definitely all day! Saw a lot of DC. Had a great time. The only downer was that the Capital building stopped giving out tickets before our tour bus got there and we couldn't get in.

Almost surprised with how much we enjoyed Washington DC and learning more about American history.

We got to see all the most important places in DC. Our bus driver was well informed and made the trip lots of fun for everyone.

Bus driver was very knowledgeable about odd bits of info. Capitol building was fantastic, will be even better when visitors centre complete. Bus was clean and safe.

Excellent tour comfortable. On time, driver/host knowledgeable, a fine way to see much in limited time in DC.

This was a wonderful tour. The White House visitors center portion could have been shorter. It was a very long day. There was a lot of walking, but everything was so very interesting.

The bus driver spoke pretty fast, so it was had to understand what he was saying at times, and we were limited at some places but otherwise it was a good way to get around the city, and the hotel pickup was an added perk! I would recommend to others.

This tour is a good way to see the sights when you are hard pressed for time. There was clear and concise narration by the guide.

It was OK, but could have been better

This tour was a slightly disappointing as it was a little bit of a rush, and we would have enjoyed spending more time at the Capitol and less at the Smithsonian Air and Space and Native American museums--4 hours in the museums was a little much. Unfortunately, Ford's Theatre was closed for renovation, so we weren't able to go in. Therefore, an alternate trip to the Lincoln Memorial would have been worthwhile; unfortunately, the Lincoln Memorial was not an option. The upside is we had a great tour driver and an air-conditioned bus! The driver shared a wealth of knowledge regarding D.C. If you have time to wander D.C. on your own, I recommend you see the sights at your own pace. However, if you are pressed for time, and would like a consolidated "glimpse", then this tour is for you.

We called the afternoon before to confirm and we were told we were all set and would be picked up in front of our hotel. The customer service rep never told us where, exactly. Early the next morning, we were waiting in the hotel lobby right by the glass doors for our shuttle to pick us up and as we stood there, we watched it fly by as our concierge tried diligently to flag it down. The concierge called the company for us, and we were told that if we still wanted to join the tour, we would have to take a taxi. 25 later for a 10 minute cab ride, we were at the train station. The bus driver said he was already running late and couldn't stop for us. We were in the lobby 10 minutes early and there were 7 people total on our trip and we were a group of 4, so that is kind of hard to believe. The tour guide was nice but hard to understand. Getting off on the wrong foot first thing pretty much sours your whole mood.

A lot of new things off limits despite the advertised itinerary.

Not enough time at each site. One could probably do better scoping out the sites on their own. Additionally, you're playing Russian roulette with the guide. Some of the bus guides are knowledgeable and nice - the one we initially got stuck with was not. At least the company offered us the opportunity to take the tour on another day with a different driver. While my group had this flexibility others may not have been so lucky. This is an all day tour, but at the end of the day, you don't feel as if you've seen much or accomplished much. Yet, you are beat from hustling from one point to another. The most significant leg of the tour is the Fords Theatre Peterson House not enough time spent and the Capital Building adequate time as well as an internal tour guide which maximized the impact of the visit.
