Good trip really interesting and great driver/guide. Loved the fact that there was a guarantee to get me back to the ship on time.
Rainy weather caused the tour guide to change a little bit of our itinerary however, he was very accommodating and very well organized about making sure we saw as much as possible. We went to the working Maori village and had an excellent tour, as well as we managed to be there at the right time to see the geyser in the thermal village go off. I was thankful of all their organization to make sure we saw what we could and enjoyed ourselves. The place selected for us to get lunch was very good quality and in a nice location as well.
A wonderful tour to Rotorua - despite being an hour late off the ship due to docking issues. The bus picked us up right near the ship with very friendly and helpful staff guiding us to our bus. Our driver was funny and informative - and a very safe driver. Highly recommend this trip.
We had a wonderful tour with Shona, can't recommend it highly enough. Just the two of us on the tour so she used the total time to show us some extra spots. We had a wonderful day, thank you Shona. our booking experience was without fault. All went to plan, thank you a great experience.
We enormously enjoyed our Sea Princess tour around New Zealand late Oct. thru early Nov. 2014.
Being our first cruise, it took a few days to orient ourselves around the ship but soon got used to it aided by the supplied map of the ship. Particularly convenient was the "Ship-card" - which was all we needed to unlock our stateroom and to pay for everything necessary, including drinks, gifts and land excursions.
ALL staff were extremely helpful, friendly and courteous and the on-board entertainment, lectures and amenities were first class.
Particularly "dangerous" was the food, of which we cannot speak too highly - tempting ALL tastes.
My wife and I took a zillion pictures and videos (we are enthusiastic photographers) and have been busy, since our return, processing and arranging them - particularly the videos and panoramas for the enjoyment of out family and friends.
We are already planning another cruise for early next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this day and it's an experience that will stay with us forever, our tour guide went out of his way to make the day a memorable one
Very happy with the itinerary and the driver/guide was very good and knowlageble
Great day out, was enjoyable. Excellent bus driver and service from the company used.
This tour was fantastic. There were only four of us in the group, and the guide was brilliant. He took his time to show us the sights. Felt very safe with his driving. The tour to the Mauri village was interesting and included a cultural show as well as a guided tour within the village.
This was a great tour-one of our favourites. The weather was very wet sadly but the driver Graeme made it all worthwhile. Not only was he very informative and local traditions, landscape and just life in general, ne was happy to take questions, but it was obvious he enjoyed his job. The venue was lunch was quaint and if it had been sunny it would have been very pretty spot. The kiwi farm was really interesting too and the shop there had lots of products to choose from. The visit to the maori village and springs and show was fantastic - really enjoyable hearing about their way of life and listening to their singing.
Fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed this informative and entertain tour. Everything was as described on the Viator website and following the email instructions found Graeme our drive/ guide waiting for us. We travelled in a mini-bus with about 10 other cruise passengers and the small size of the party ensured we weren't waiting for lots of people to get back to the coach. Graeme gave us lots of information en route about the country, culture, economy, and wildlife. We had a wonderful day with just the right amount of time to spend in each place. Would happily recommend this tour to cruise visitors as it 'packed' so much in to port day without feeling rushed.
By far one of the best tours. Saw so much between Tauranga and Rotorua such a beautiful spot. Mauri experience was fantastic. This was one of my favourite tours
Great tour - saw lots in a relaxed manner - Jan from Zealandier was excellent
Great tour. Interesting and entertaining - enjoyed the Mauri history also the singing and dancing .
Pickup and dropoff from and to the Ship was time perfect. The content of the Tour other than the Lunch venue was great. The Lunch stop at the lovely Lake Rotorua should be for picture stop only as the Lunch was a rip off and the food quality poor. One guest was also overcharged 20. A much better Lunch stop would have been the Whakarewarewa Village with its reasonably priced Kiwi Hungi meals and their great home made pies which were in high demand. Kiwi 360 was pleasant and the Lakes district and Waterfalls very scenic. The standout was Whakarewarewa Village with its Thermal Springs, Bathes and erupting Geyser and Mud Pools. The Kiwi Dance group was very entertaining. Very good value Excursion except for Lunch Venue.
Enjoyed the trip and the cultural elements to this tour. I would have liked to know more about the Maori culture and the region generally from the driver which we felt he could have done on the trip back to the ship. Instead he assumed we were all sick of hearing him talk and just drove us back to the ship.
He was very courteous and looked after us very well and when he did give us information it was clear and concise. However compared to some guides we did feel that to him this was just a job and he had certain standard information to deliver and that was it. Would have liked a bit longer at the park to take in the surroundings. We did feel we were route marched through by the driver to make a time deadline. My travelling companion cannot for health reasons walk very fast but on most of the other tours we have done over the years can usually manage to keep up. She didn't enjoy the walk through the park as she felt she was being left behind all the time and was holding me back eventually giving up trying and sitting for about 15 minutes on her own waiting for us to come back. Generally enjoyed the tour but felt we could have got more out of it with a better guide.
It was a chance to revisit Rotorua after 40 years and it brought back great memories. Well organized tour with plenty of stops and photo opportunities.
Excellent tour with an outstanding guide who made the tour interesting and informative.
We were met promptly at the port by a tour bus and the leader. We did end up going back, wasting about 20 min to pic up someone who didn't come on time. It was a full day, Enjoyed our many stops and saw beautiful scenery. Our tour leader tried to keep everyone on schedule and was very helpful. Overall, recommend the tour!
A trip to the North Island would be incomplete without a visit to Rotorua, including a visit to a Thermal Village with steaming geysers and Maori dance show complete with Hakka. The villager guide was very informed and enthusiastic which made the trip despite not having time to await the irregular, but no doubt spectacular, eruptions.
I would recommend this price competitive and enjoyable trip.
Very informative about indigenous tribe. Kiwi plantation was great.
We really enjoyed the guide Sue, very knowledgeable and interesting. Learned many interesting things about kiwi fruit, would have liked to have more time at Kiwi 360, but still liked the drive to Rotorua and the Maori village, we wanted to see the countryside as much as anything. Our only problem was waiting for the bus to fill up, without that we would have been able to spend more time at the stops.
