It was an awesome trip. In addition to visiting the volcanoes we saw so many additional sites that we were not expecting. It gave us a great tour of the Hilo area. The tour guide was so knowledgeable. We enjoyed the entire trip.

The people were GREAT. On your voucher you should put more information about who is to pick us up at the airport and the actual name of the tour company. I only found the name on the email you sent saying you could not pick us up. We loved our guide. Very informative and sweet and funny.

The trip to the Big Island to see and learn about the Island was well worth the time. You will see a Volcano but, you will not be guaranteed the sight of lava. The day we were there the lava flow had changed direction and was about 6 miles from us. Guess if you were up to the hike you could have left the tour and went on your own. Our guide was very well informed about all things the Island had to offer and was very funny. He would take time to answer any questions you had and I don't think he ever said "I don't know". If you are looking for a good time and want to see some great countryside this is a trip worth doing. I just wish I would of had more time.

We had an excellent guide-driver. The trip was extremely interesting, educational and informative, and we would do it again.

I definitely recommend this tour! It was a very long day but well worth the time as it was an awesome experience. The tour suits people of varying physical ability - my parents and I had a wonderful experience that will last forever in our memories. Go for it and enjoy! Two thumbs up!

Fantastic! Our tour guide made this one of the best tours I have ever been on. He was very knowledgeable and funny. He even brought us to a private black-sand beach to see some sea turtles at the end of the day since we had some time to kill. A must-do if you are visiting the Big Island.

Fantastic trip - it covered everything we hoped for. Everyone should do it.

The volcano trip was fantastic! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining! He was one of the best guides I have toured with. I would have liked to spend more time walking over the lava flow and would have liked to skip the orchid stop. The orchid stop was not worth while and was the worst part of the trip. The trip was much better than I expected and I would recommend this trip to anyone.

It's great! You will feel the steam from the active volcano! It's awesome! Have fun!

Good for people who don't have enough time to travel by themselves on the Big Island. However, the tour didn't take you to see the REAL RED LAVA, which most people go to the Big Island to see. Only smoke from very long distance and black sand beach that you will visit.

If you've only got a day to spare, I would definitely recommend this tour. The guide/driver was very informative, and the sights were amazing. We're not great ones for doing the whole touristy thing, but because we were short on time we didn't have much choice. Apart from being on a big bus, there were plenty of opportunities to go off an explore by ourselves. The only downside was that we weren't told what time we would be flying home until we had dropped everyone else off at the airport and learned that we would have to wait an extra 3 hours. It didn't spoil the day, but it would have been worth knowing up front so we could prepare ourselves for the wait!

I enjoyed it. A very long day indeed. I was disappointed not to see the live lava flow as indicated in the pictures. However, the trip was still worth it. The orchid farm as well as the macadamia nut factory were fun. The one thing is that we were dropped off at a dull, lacklustre Hilo shopping mall while waiting for our flight back to Honolulu.

This was an all day trip to the Big Island. Do expect to see a conventional volcano as it is different to what you may expect. However, it was amazing to be quite close to an active volcano. Our tour guide had a monotone voice so although he was knowledgeable he kind of put us to sleep sometimes. Early start and late finish for the whole day.

It was a good trip but a very long day. Make sure you get enough rest. The tour guide was very informative and we got to see some cool stuff although keep in mind this is a 'shield volcano' not a cone-shaped mountain spewing lava. We didn't get to see a lava flow up-close but we did get fairly close to the area where the lava runs into the ocean. A long hike to see it over very rough, dried lava terrain but a cool experience none the less. If you have kids, I would make sure they have endurance to do lots of walking over rugged ground.
