Brilliant tour. Easy process.
I was picked up from my hotel on time, the tour itself was very informative and our guide was brilliant.
I very much enjoyed the trek as you could go at your own pace and there was sufficient time to enjoy the scenery. Will go again. Thanks! Travelled from Western Australia
Early start to the day but well worth it. Justin was a smashing guide, friendly, sensible, shared his knowledge and made everyone comfortable.
Great views, the walk/hike was fine but we were surprised to see toddlers and young children not in our group - tough on the parents!! Thanks Justin
Excellent tour, great views, tour guide was very good, very kind and knows very very much. Thanks
*The only cons was the day heat.
Well organised, tour guide knew her stuff excellent value for money, well worth doing
My husband and I really enjoyed the sunrise hike up Diamondhead. We chose to do this hike our very last morning on the island. It was the best way to end our trip. Our guide was very informative and helpful. Thanks to him for doing such a great job.
This was a fab tour! Not too easy nor was it too strenuous of a track to navigate. Gorgeous views of the Valley and ocean aswell as a historical war bunker when you reach the peak :D Justin was our tour guide and he was brilliant and was a never-ending spout of local information. Thanks for the rad tour mate! Hope you make your way back to NZ one day :P
You not only get the benefit of some exercise but the view at the top is a bonus. Our guide Dave was a lovely young man who kept up an interesting commentary about Diamond Head and Hawaii in general. There were only two of us on the sunrise tour and Dave personalized the tour for us. I'd highly recommend this tour.
The tour was great! I went to Hawaii solo and couldn't be happier to go on hiking with a mixed group of people. Justin our tour guide was very informative and took care of all us well. The view up in the crater was amazing and the hike itself was easy given the trail has railings you can grab on.
Phenomenal Adventure! We are senior citizens and were a little concerned about the physical aspect of this hike, but we needn't have worried. Not that it doesn't give you a workout--but a fun one. The tour included a Professional guide, Use of backpack, Personalized I Climbed Diamond Head certificate with a photo of the crater suitable for framing, Entrance fee, Local taxes, Hotel pickup and drop off. We were picked up exactly where they told us to be and right on time. Our professional tour guide was so knowledgeable, sweet, patient, and helpful. I wish I could remember her name, but I do remember that she knew so much about all the plant life along our hike to the top of Diamond Head. All of our tour group that day were senior citizens, and she was very patient and understanding. We took breaks whenever needed, water was supplied as well as walking sticks to help on the uneven trails. I will warn folks that there are quite a lot of stairs to climb at one point in the hike. I think there were at least 50 or so steps to the stairs. Some folks might find that a little difficult--as I did, but I made it to the top. The tour does take longer than 2.5 hours, so plan a little extra time. We left the hotel at 9:30, and did not get back until about 1:30. I highly recommend this tour. We had a blast!
Our tour guy David was very knowledgeable. It was a challenge, but so worth it, a must do.
Great hike! There was no use of the backpack or walking stick like the description said (which was fine) and our group was actually 23 people instead of 14. But we really enjoyed it and our guide David was awesome. Super informative and fun!
Great tour. Our guide, David, was very knowledgable, answered all of our questions, and was fun. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.
Really enjoyed this walk. Justin our guide was great and I think we might have been the only one that morning who had a guide and you could see others trying to listen to what he was pointing out and the history so it was well worth it. The walk was good, you have the option of taking the steps or the easy walk. From March onwards though you will miss the sunset as it rises earlier but the view was still amazing. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic small group tour. Loved our guide, David, and the short hike. Wonderful views.
The scenery was breathtaking and the history shared by the guide (David) was exceptional and quite enlightening!
Karen our guide was fantastic, she was very knowledgeable and made sure we hiked at a safe pace to accommodate everyone in the group. That was greatly appreciated. The hike was long and the sun was hot but it is worth the sweat when you reached the top and feel the cool breeze and great view.
Great tour. Breathtaking views and David was a great knowledgeable tour guide from the tour company!!
Excellent way to start the morning. I recommend the 6am tour to avoid the tourists and to get some great photos of the rising sun. The hike was easy, however it has a section with stairs that can be difficult and rocks can be slippery in some areas. David, our guide, was very friendly. We were back to the hotel by 9:30am. A nice visit to Diamond Head.
This was only a few hours but these hours were held in a vacuum of ambition and engulfing vista!
If you choose this tour make sure you take the early morning one and watch the sun magically arise and cast your show over the embrace of Waikiki ! The walk is easy, the tour guide informative and your excitement constant !
