Really enjoyed this walk. Justin our guide was great and I think we might have been the only one that morning who had a guide and you could see others trying to listen to what he was pointing out and the history so it was well worth it. The walk was good, you have the option of taking the steps or the easy walk. From March onwards though you will miss the sunset as it rises earlier but the view was still amazing. Highly recommended.
Absolutely fantastic small group tour. Loved our guide, David, and the short hike. Wonderful views.
The scenery was breathtaking and the history shared by the guide (David) was exceptional and quite enlightening!
Karen our guide was fantastic, she was very knowledgeable and made sure we hiked at a safe pace to accommodate everyone in the group. That was greatly appreciated. The hike was long and the sun was hot but it is worth the sweat when you reached the top and feel the cool breeze and great view.
Great tour. Breathtaking views and David was a great knowledgeable tour guide from the tour company!!
Excellent way to start the morning. I recommend the 6am tour to avoid the tourists and to get some great photos of the rising sun. The hike was easy, however it has a section with stairs that can be difficult and rocks can be slippery in some areas. David, our guide, was very friendly. We were back to the hotel by 9:30am. A nice visit to Diamond Head.
This was only a few hours but these hours were held in a vacuum of ambition and engulfing vista!
If you choose this tour make sure you take the early morning one and watch the sun magically arise and cast your show over the embrace of Waikiki ! The walk is easy, the tour guide informative and your excitement constant !
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and took his time walking us up to Diamond Head. Good to do this early in the morning as it got hot as we came down.
We took the shuttle to Diamond Head on Friday, December 5th. Our tour guide was Tiffany and she was awesome! On the trip out to Diamond Head she explained sites along the way and gave us the history of Diamond Head once we arrived on site. She was very enthusiastic, interesting and made us feel very comfortable. She informed us of the rules regarding our climb and the route/routes to take and gave us encouragement as we began the climb. She told us where to purchase water and refreshments after we finished the climb and where to meet her. After the climb she gathered us together and presented certificates to each of us. She made each of us feel special and to us it felt like a ceremony of achievement! We were very happy with the tour and especially with Tiffany and her knowledge of Diamond Head. We also noticed her respect for the islands of Hawaii and the Hawaiian culture. We were very pleased with this tour and we will recommend to our friends! Thank you for the wonderful adventure! This was awesome! Our guide Mike had a great sense of humor and we enjoyed our hike with him. He stopped periodically to let everyone catch their breath and to give insight that you don't get by yourself. I will say that they need to have a disclaimer that it is not an easy hike and if you aren't in shape you might not make it all the way to the top. One couple in our group stopped well before we got to the top. The view was worth the work it took to get there it was AMAZING! If you want a great workout, a nice small group, and pictures that will make your trip, this is the tour for you!
This tour was great. The guide was VERY knowledge. He would tell everyone to watch out for this crack in the pavement or the shrubbery and if there was any litter along the way, he picked it up. When we got to the top of Diamond Head, he took photos for everyone. A very nice and caring man with a lot of knowledge to share.
Paul was a fabulous tour guide; very knowledgeable and friendly.
