This was amazing! The Ranch was magnificent in every way. The views, tours, food and staff. It was a full-of-fun marvelous day DON'T MISS IT!
The beauty of the ranch and then the wonderful staff made this a wonderful day. The guides were friendly and really knew the area. I think my favorite was the jungle expedition. The view from the top when we got off and hiked a little was absolutely beautiful!
O Lam Australia
When you arrive on the bus, the guide gets everyone to tick the activities they would like to do on the day on a itinerary sheet. When you arrive at the ranch, this sheet is given to the office where they work out your customized time schedule for the day. We participated in the Ocean Catamaran, ATV and Movie Set tours. All 3 were well paced, had informative guides/instructions provided and overall it was a fantastic day. Lunch was delicious in particular the terriyaki beef ribs! and the coach bus was very efficient and comfortable.
It was the best tour we had during our visit. Would do it again.
We had a great day at the Ranch - so much to see and do! Will have to go back on another trip to do what we could not fit in. Beautiful scenery and very friendly/informative Guides. Particularly enjoyed the Valley Tour which shows you the locations used for many movies shot at the Ranch.
Awesome!! Horseback riding, Valley tour, and Mountain tour. Very fun time.
Even though it was raining our tour guide was wonderful. I wish we had more time for the Dole plantation as didn't really get to see much, as time was limited. Would definitely recommend this tour!
Great tour and beautiful scenery! Well worth it, and the buffett lunch was yummy also.
My husband and I recently visited the ranch for our first time. We chose to do the valley movie tour, the horseback ride, and the jungle expedition. I must say, it was all fun and fantastic!
The guide for our valley tour was very entertaining. He made our group laugh a bunch too. On that tour we saw props and learned out famous movies that were shot in Kualoa. We rode around on a bus, stopping a few times to visit the old military remains and to get pictures of the beautiful mountains.
When it came time for the horseback ride, I was a bit nervous to be on a horse for my first time. Luckily, two of our instructors stayed with us on the entire trail. I had times when I did not feel so confident with my horse, but the lady instructors were always checking and saying how great of a job I was doing. I felt they were very professional, calm, and friendly. What a great ride!
As for our last tour, we had a guide named Kaleo. He was very charming and knowledgable about the history of Hawai'i and the ranch. His driving was amazing. I've been on a jungle tour similar to this before. While that had made me nauseoushis, his careful driving did not. We went up to some higher areas of the ranch and saw some lovely views of the valley, ocean, and islands nearby.
As for lunch, you can purchase fresh food from the various cattle, fish, and vegetables they raise and grow on the ranch. The cafeteria has many yummy options. We were on a buffet plan and had our meal in separate building. While the buffet wasn't large, it was plenty delicious.
If you want to spend part of your day having fun among the lush green mountains, take this tour. A visit to Kualoa Ranch has activities that are certainly more fun than boring sit as you see tours.
The Ranch adventure was awesome. The movie tour was fun, Especially the pictures we took for Jurassic Park. The horseback riding was a great experience and the girl who was our guide was very patient with my inexperience at getting Hollywood, my horse, to do what he was suppose to do. He kept wanting to eat the grass. After awhile he and I got comfortable with each other. The lunch was good. Then we went on the catamaran which is a really big boat, and we saw turtles in the water. The guy James, that was our guide, was very friendly and gave us a lot of information. I highly recommend this tour
The staff are so friendly and knowledgable. A well organised tourist attraction that does Hawaii proud.
Great place to visit! Majestic scenery. Would recommend it to everyone as there is somethingactivities for everyone. Guides and staff were all great.
Had an amazing tour! From the ATV to the Jungle tour. We had the best tour guides also. We couldnt have asked for a better time. The ocean voyage tour was closed due to high winds but that was fine with us. Safet first. We definitely got our moneys worth.
We had a great time. The staff was top notch and took care of us every step of the way. We would do it again.
WOW - what a fantastic day all the activities were great, they could improve the lunch for the full day tour, again the menu at shop was better
This was an amazing tour. It covered so much and the guide was well informed and entertaining. I would highly recommend it. The price was very affordable for all that you got.
This was very nice! I thought it was going to be lame. But it was really fun! The staff was very pleasing to it's people and the ride was very long. We had bad weather, it was raining the whole time that we rode the horses. But they provided rain gear if you wanted it. The staff were very helpful to people that were afraid of riding and helped them along very nicely. The garden/fish pond area was dull, it reminded me of driving through someone's backyard. The guide told us about the plants. Here is this flower and that flower, but when you looked over at them he then said that they cut them off to sell them so there wasn't anything to look at. I would suggest not doing the garden/fish pond. Overall it was nice, because of the horse ridding. The lunch was very nice and very tasty.
Well worth while, highly recommend. We did the 4-wheel drive expedition (actually a 6-wheel drive vehicle) and the quad bikes.
The Half day tour for us left Kualoa around 1:00pm to return back to Honolulu Hotel, so we were back mid afternoon, perhaps worth noting just in case you book another afternoon activity on the same day elsewhere
