Our guide was excellent. He provided us with details of the island that you normally wouldn't know. The trip was perfect. The only exceptions was lunch. It was okay, but could have been better. Also, additional time at the Dole Plantation would have been appreciated.

We did this on our second day in and was good because it gave us a good idea on where we needed to go back to etc.

We had a similar tour in 1989 but on a smaller bus. I believe this would have been more enjoyable and we could have gone to a few places that the big buses don't allow. Having said this, our driver was fantastic; he imparted so much history, both native and European, and we had many discussions and information on everyday life in Hawaii.

I liked the tour as a whole, and the driver, but the Dole Plantation was a bit of a let down.

Very comprehensive and informative - a good way to get a feel for the island if you have no transport and limited time.

A whirlwind intro to the main island. Of course there's not enough time to do anything in depth, but this gives you a good idea of what and where things are. I'd suggest doing it on the first day of your trip and revisiting any areas that looked interesting later.

Enjoyed the tour overall but was disappointed in the Dole tour. There just isn't much left to see. Perhaps it's time to switch gears, plant more tropical plants, small plots of pineapples and maybe a theater where your show a film of the heyday of Dole production or at least pineapple production in general. I'm sure that there is vintage footage available. The little train is cute but there is so little to see on it's route. The tiny little piece of pineapple on a toothpick at the end is pitiful.

The driver was great - very informative. The only complaint was we were combined with several other groups AND ended up on the back of the bus with no window so we could not see things that were pointed out as we were driving! I think the seating arrangement should rotate somehow so everyone can have a good seat eventually. We have been on a bus trip before where everyone moved periodically .

We had a fantastic driver/guide that knew the area well. The bus arrived on-time at our hotel for pickup in the morning and returned on-time in the afternoon.

Our tour guide/bus driver was absolutely fantastic - knowledgeable, humorous, punctual. He definitely contributed to our high level of satisfaction on this tour. The Dole Plantation could have been more interactive.

Not really our style. A bit rushed, and Dole was a bit average. Good if you are not able to walk around much and would prefer to be seated for the majority of the trip. Always have the problem of idiots not coming back to the bus on time.

The tour was a useful look at the island as a starting point for an Oahu holiday. However, the number of "comfort stops" at souvenir shops (four, including lunch & the Dole plantation) was excessive & time wasting. A stop at Turtle Beach would have been a worthwhile substitute as there were turtles at the beach that day. The Dole plantation is past its use-by date. It is not really that interesting, especially the train ride. The pineapple industry is on the wane, so they're looking to harvest tourists instead. On the plus side, the tour driver was a mine of information, very funny & a really nice guy.
