Great tour! Had a great time but seems like we wasted alot of time at the dock trying to sell drinks and food instead of heading out. By the time we found the whales, which was absolutely amazing, we had about 10 minutes to takes pictures and we were headed back.
Staff was excellent. We did see two whale spouts. Unfortunately, they did not want show off for us. I would try again. Probably would have rated this cruise 5 stars if we had seen a whale. Not a reflection on staff.
Well worth the price, very friendly staff and we did see whales!
Fun tour! I def preferred this smaller boat to the Star of Honolulu, which probably had 3x the amt of people aboard. Both boats ended up following the same family of whales. Saw several blows, handful of dorsal fins and 2 or 3 good breaches. Naturalist aboard was informative. Saw what I paid to see!
People genuine and nice! Great food..yummy! Only saw a few whales splash :( But I know this cannot be controlled. The boat was bigger than I thought. I would have liked a smaller crowd! Thanks...
The crew was knowledgeable about the aquatic wildlife that we were to see on the tour. The buffet was tasty. We were very happy to see the whales and dolphins. It was a highlight in our trip to Oahu!
Every thing that was under your control was done well. The food and service where excellent. I can not fault you for the lack of cooperation from the whales. Although there where many sightings of several different whales and I did get good tail photos. They where all from quite a distance and that is not under your control. The dolphins on the way home was a real extra bonus. We all had a very enjoyable trip and I have recommended you to other people. When I come back next time I plan on taking another trip with you. My only wish is that we could stay out longer.
The tour was good and the food was awesome too. Very nice boat, friendly staff.
Relaxing experience. Able to see whales in their natural environment.
Our cruise started out with an unbelievable sighting, a mother and her calf breaching! Unfortunately, after that, we spent the remainder of the cruise following the pair and hoping for another breach or that they would come to the surface more. They didn't and when that didn't happen, we ended up just heading back to shore. The cruise line had met their commitment for us to "see whales or get another cruise for free", but I've been on two other whale watches and we continued to look for other whales and saw several more on each of those trips. The other thing about this cruise was that we left and returned in less than two hours, when clearly the website said the cruise would be approximately 2.5 hours in length. I believe we could have traveled further and potentially seen more whales if we had spent the advertised time to do so.
We only saw a tail of a Whale and they only promise "a sighting" nothing more. The Observation Deck is the size of a postage stamp (maybe a little larger) but trying to squeeze 300 viewers into this little space is like trying to squeeze 300 sardines into one Sardine can. Very cramped and extremely uncomfortable. The saving grace of getting One Star was the Buffet Lunch. It was very good and plentiful and the fresh fruit after lunch was a welcome surprise. The fresh fruit and water stayed out until the ship pulled into dock. That was extremely nice. But as for sighting Whales, it was extremely disappointing.
Very disappointing. Only seen a couple of blow holes and a tiny tale. Well the only thing I seen was the tale. If you where not in the front of the boat, you seen nothing. Staff was good, but they seem to be a little bored toward the end of the tour. Seen more from my baloney then in the boat. I went on a whale watch in San Diego and it was great. It was about the same time of year (april) that we went. So I guess we expected more than what we got.
We were very disappointed in the pick up and drop off service. The bus was more than a half hour late even though we were asked to be waiting ten minutes early. On the way back the driver forgot to stop at our hotel, then was ignorant when he had to turn around
It was a windy cloudy day but the sun was out. Saw one whale. Nice couple of hours. Lunch was better than expected
Trip was ok. Only saw the blow from one whale. Meal average. Really looked forward to this trip but felt a little swindled by the tour operator. Not much room to view as the wind and high seas did not allow for outside viewing.
