This is one day of activities you and your whole family should not miss. The history, presentations, and colors were fabulous. We learned so much and were completely entertained while doing so. Brigham Young students all work here for tuition, living expenses, and spending money. (Our guide was Crystal, a delightful young woman was from Mongolia. I couldn't believe all the English she had learned and all she learned to present in just one year. When I went to tip her, she said that they did not accept tips as we had already spent money to come and by doing so contributed so much to her tuition and living expenses. At that pointed, I closed it into her hands as she had more than earned it and insisted she take it.) The luau was marvelous and well organized. The Ha Show in the evening was a spectacular. A story was woven into it so it was so much more than a series of dances. We got the Ambassador package and were not disappointed. We loved the show so much that we bought the DVD to take home with us.
What an awesome day! We experienced so much culture at the Polynesian Cultural Center because of our guide, Henry. He knew exactly which village we should be at and at what time because of the activities they'd be showing the tourists. He knew which activities we didn't necessarily need to see because we'd see them in the "Ha" show. By the end of the tour before the luau, he had made everyone in our tour a headband made from coconut leaves. He got us to the luau and show on time and was waiting for us patiently after the show was over. He had so knowledge of the Islands to share that our minds were bursting with information.
Sadly, it rained nearly the entire time we were at the Polynesian Cultural Center, but everyone did their best to keep us happy and entertained. We learned so much about the individual Polynesian cultures. We took in the luau (the food was delicious and we enjoyed the entertainment) and the Broadway-caliber show. The fire dancers near the end of the show were spell-binding!
This was excellent! From the driver and the wonderful information he shared on the bus ride. He taught us so much about the areas we were driving through and gave us an appreciation of the polynesian culture. He made us feel very welcome and excited to share his love for his culture. Learned so much. Didn't feel like a tourist. We felt invited in as a family member the entire day by all of those very dedicated to the love of their culture. A true "Aloha" experience!
A great day/ night, very friendly and informative people at all the cultural displays.
Luau was good, food excellent and plentiful
Ha breath of life evening show totally amazing
Our tour guide was very friendly and informative. The various productions were excellent and evening HA show was very well done and very enjoyable. The food was very good.
We had a wonderful day visiting all of the villages; dinner food was delicious; evening show was outstanding!
This day was excellent! I had been to Hawaii 8 times prior but had never gone to the PCC. I was with a group of 6 other women and we really enjoyed the day. Very educational and entertaining. The dinner was the best that I had ever had at any luau (I have been to another luau four times) but I would rate the entertainment as fair.
Very worthwhile experience ! for anyone travelling to Hawaii.
This is a very full day of fun activities. Entertaining as well as informative. The park was immaculate and beautiful gardens. I highly recommend using a tour guide so you can maximize your time and see as much as possible.
Fantastic entertainment, great learning facility about all the different Polynesian cultures and a chance to get a close up view of them all without having to travel half way around the world. Great food and the show at the end was a fitting finale to a great day. Definitely recommend it for others visiting Hawaii.
From pick-up to return, our visit to the Cultural Center was grand. Henry, our driver from Samoa, was also our tour guide at the center. This was not my first time to the center, but it certainly was the BEST. Henry was so personal, knowledgeable and no doubt told us things about the various cultures others may not have heard. The ride from Waikiki was beautiful and Henry kept us entertained as he told stories of growing up in Samoa and how he's retained his culture in Hawaii raising a dozen children (with his wife of 40 yrs). The night time show was spectacular and the luau was oh-so delicious! This should be on everyone's list of things to do when visiting Oahu.
This tour was magnificent. Very long day but worth it. So much to see.
This was our most expensive single day during our week's vacation, but it was worth every penny. Our driver gave us lots of information on the trip over, and made a "quick" trip back as we (and I think everyone on the bus) napped in the peace of an exhausting memory filled day. We bought the Ambassador package and felt it was an excellent choice. Our guide at the center, (Phannah?) was wonderful. He made the very most of every minute of the day and was fun to be with. We couldn't possibly have seen so much on our own. Our prearranged seats for the luau and evening show saved time and gave us super places. Ha---Breath of Life was an amazing show. The entire day will always be a highlight in our memories.
A must do experience, even if you have been to some of the Islands.
Can't praise it highly enough.
This was my Mother-in-Laws first trip to Hawaii and I wanted to give her a taste of everything. It was also my Wife and my Anniversary so we were looking forward to a wonderful day. I think we had the Ambassador package, the one with the tour guide, hotel pickup, Luau and the Ha show. I highly recommend this package for the little cost extra, it was well worth it. It was a long day for 79 year old Mother-in-Law, but she enjoyed every minute of it. The Ha show was fantastic! Ross H.
The center has great cultural activities presented by people from Polynesian countries. The whole day go by very quick as they have a schedule that has program every half hour. You can pick the activity you want to go so you will get to enjoy the whole day. The best part of the day was the evening show in the theater at 8 PM. If you are planning to do this activity then do not miss the evening show.
The experience was more than than we could ever imagine. This was well worth the money.
This tour was the best - the kids loved it and what a great show.
Everyone who visits this island for the first time should sign up for the Polynesian Cultural Center all day tour. It is an excellent introduction to the various Polynesian cultures, and is very entertaining. My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Viator . The tour bus picked us up promptly at our hotel. The tour guide on the bus offered to be our tour guide once we arrived at the Center for a nominal fee. We paid the small fee which was well worth the money. He was wonderful. He made sure everyone was always accounted for and paid special attention to one person in the group who had special needs making sure that person always felt part of what was going on. He also guided us so that we were ahead of the crowd and were able to see all the center's exhibits. It was an all day tour complete with luau and stage show. Once the show was over our guide made sure everyone understood completely which bus to look for and its location. Everything was so well planned for us. We can't say enough about it. Wonderful day. Thank you Viator!
This was a great tour to give an overview of the Polynesian culture. It was like a mini cultural festival, learning snipits from each island. I expected to be upgraded to a guided tour when we boarded our tour bus, since that is what other reviews posted prior to my trip. As it turned out, we did a self-guided tour and planned our day so that we could see it all. We were not able to do all the hands-on learning activities though. The evening luau was enjoyable and the evening show: Ha! Breath of Life was well worth every penny.
