Why Our Insiders Chose This Tour
This tour runs with a much smaller group than many of the other tours on Oahu. I love that it visits all the best highlights and includes a yummy lunch!
What You Can Expect
Board the overwater shuttle out to the USS Arizona Memorial, located just offshore. Listen as your guide details the tragedy that struck when the battleship was sunk and view the wreckage through the floor of the memorial. Then, continue to the North Shore's epic beaches like Waimea Bay and Sunset Beach, world-renowned for their surf spots. Stop by the Dole Plantation to learn about one of Hawaii's most important exports and explore the on-site maze.
At La'ie Point, see stunning views, then enjoy some island treats like coffee and macadamia nuts at the Tropical Farms Coffee Plantation.
On Oahu's Eastern Shore, visit the famous Polynesian Cultural Center to learn about Pacific Islanders' traditions and see themed exhibits, hear songs and witness traditional dances. With your small group, sit down to a lunch of Polynesian and Hawaiian food.
The next stop on your tour is the Byodo-In Temple, an important Buddhist site on Oahu that has been used as a filming location for many television shows and movies.
At Nu'uano Pali lookout, catch some gorgeous island views as you listen to your guide discuss this site's important role in Hawaiian history.
Return to Waikiki at the conclusion of your comprehensive 11-hour tour.
Loves that it hit all the major highlights and helped me decide where I wanted to spend more time.
Cousin Kevin was a blast! He made the trip a lot of fun. Great tour, as we experienced a lot of items in one day. We could not have done as much on our own. Only bad thing I can think of was that we did not have enough time at the Dole Plantation. More time needs to be allotted for there. Overall, a great tour that I would recommend to all.
Very much enjoyed this tour! Nancy, our tour guide, was awesome! She was very informative about things on the tour and also about the history of the island and some of the things we saw along the way. She went out of her way to make sure everyone enjoyed the tour. Pearl Harbor was by far my favorite stop... very sobering to see and hear about the attack and visit the Arizona. From the tour we found a couple of places we went back to see.
I've been on many tours over the years and never enjoyed a tour guide as much as Cousin Kev. This tour and tour guide were the highlight of my trip. Highly recommend!
Best tour ever! Hana, our tour guide, was awesome!! Very knowledgeable and funny!! Highly recommend this tour!!!
This tour was wonderful. Our guide Dennis was informative, pleasant and went the extra mile to make sure we all had a great time. The tour included more than the 3 stops we had expected and lasted the full 11 hours. Make sure you're rested so you can enjoy this tour to the max.
highly recommend as saw more in 1 day that on own would take 2-3 days. guide by name of Hana 9local native was excellent as he cared and told us so much of each site we toured and more along the way
Our guide told us that 500,000 people visit this landmark every year. With good reason: the site is movingly and tastefully done. We followed this with a circle Oahu tour, which was great, even though it rained torrentially for the rest of the day. Don't miss our guide, Cousin Kev: he was funny, flexible, and prepared for the weather, in all quite possibly the best tour guide I have ever traveled with. Even the touristy stops were fun, the waves on the North Shore were frighteningly huge, and you could get a feel for what the island was like in the days of the sugar and pineapple plantations. Be warned, it is a very looong day!
This was an awesome tour. Our tour guide, Chris, was the best. We really felt like we had seen everything when we were done. The Polynesian Cultural Center was amazing. You could definitely spend a whole day there and of course, a visit to Oahu wouldn't be complete without seeing Pearl Harbor especially if you travel with history buffs. It was money well spent.
