- This tour must be booked at least 48 hours in advance of your travel date
- Confirmation for this product will be received at time of booking, unless you are booking within 4 days of tour date. In this case, confirmation will be received within 48 hours, subject to availability
- Lessons are offered in English, Spanish and French
- Ratio of students to instructor is never more than 5:1
- All students must sign a release waiver
- All students must know how to swim
- In the event of bad weather (thunder or lightning) the surf lesson or clinic will be rescheduled. Rain, cold air (wetsuits are available), or cloudy skies do not constitute bad weather
- Rain cleans up the surf making it better therefore lessons will not be canceled due to rain

Lesson Duration:

Q: What should I do if I wear contacts?
A: Many surfers wear contacts. It is recommended that you either wear a pair of disposables or a pair that you can live without in case you lose one.
Q: What kind of swimsuit should I wear?
A: The kind that you like the best. Rash guards are provided.
Q: What should I do to get ready for my lesson?
A: Exercises we find helpful include: swimming laps, crunches, and push ups.
Q: How early should I show up for my class?
A: Traffic can be unpredictable, so please plan ahead accordingly. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early.
Q: What beach areas can I learn to surf at?
A: Miami Beach, Dania Beach, Hollywood Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, Palm Beach, Jupiter, Jensen Beach, Ft. Pierce, Sebastian, Melbourne and Cocoa Beach.
Q: Do I get a discount if I bring my own equipment?
A: Discount are not given if you bring your own equipment. For beginners it is preferred that you use the provided safe soft surfboards.
Q: What type of safety precautions does Florida Surf Lessons take?
A: Safety is taken very seriously. All surf instructors are CPR certified, and trained in first aid and life guarding skills. To reduce the risk of injury beginners, learning is conducted on Safe Soft Surfboards.
Q: How long before I am surfing like Kelly Slater?
A: All we can say to that is to stay positive and keep practicing!
