Best part are the people, you will never get lost, people will leave what they are doing just to lead you to your destination :-) then the castle and temple, it will bring you back in time. The best trip ever :-) SAFEST place!!!
From the time I booked my tour, to the actual tour itself, I was impressed with the efficiency professionalism of the entire operation. The booking process was easy and I appreciated the follow-up emails from Viator.
When I arrived at the Granvia Hotel, my pick-up point to start the tour, I found the tour operators to be well organized, professional and friendly. All the staff that I came in contact with more than met my expectations of what I expect from a professional tour company.
I truly appreciated their punctuality and their candor about everyone really needing to pay attention to time schedules. My tour guides were extremely knowledgeable about what we were seeing, and I also appreciated the extra they provided, especially the stories.
At the end of the tour, when taking the train from Nara back to Osaka, my guide provided excellent information to me on how to get to my hotel because I would be getting off the train before Osaka Station.
I will recommend Viator and the tour operator to others, and would not hesitate to book another tour with you. Thanks for making my Osaka, Kyoto and Nara trip very enjoyable.
Every part of the tour was excellent, from meeting our guide at the hotel to start the tour, to getting us back to the train station in Osaka at the end of the day.
Excellent tour. The tour guides 'guided' more than I've had on other tours; at several stops, they actually led us through the site and provided great information. This also helped keep the schedule by reducing the amount of time spent finding everyone when it was time to leave.
The tour moved quickly, but I never felt rushed - for the amount seen in a day, the pace seemed just right. It would be easy to spend several hours at each of the stops, but if you have limited time in Japan this is a great way to see the highlights.
really enjoyed the tour. the tourist guides were very friendly and accomodating. they were also very helpful from the meeting place at the Granvia Hotel, the bus and train stations to the Shinsaibashi area even after the tour- teaching us where to go and what to look for. we really enjoyed the historical sites and the kids didnt get bored. they were so happy with the encounters with the deers at the deer park in Nara. the lunch was good and even kid friendly. the tour was in over-all excellent and we will surely book again with you. thanks for the experience.

We met our guide at a hotel in Osaka where he explained our itinerary for the tour. We proceeded to the train station where we all caught a train to Kyoto. We were dropped off by bus to another hotel and met up with other people joining the tour. We began the morning part of the tour, which we found to be a bit rushed. I understand we had to be quick, otherwise we would not have fitted everything in. After the morning tour we were taken to a restaurant for lunch which was traditional Japanese food beautifully presented. After lunch we were back on the bus and headed out to Nara for our afternoon tour, so glad we did the day tour and not just the morning or afternoon tour. We had a sleep in the bus on the way to Nara, then off to visit the shrine and temple which was amazing. Our guide was most informative and his jokes were quite entertaining. His English was good and he explained a lot about the Japanese culture which gave us a better understanding of the tour. I highly recommend this tour. If you have time make sure you do the whole day as I would not have wanted to miss any part of this tour.
Great tour, easy to get around . Guides english and knowledge most helpful.
nice tour, especially our nice tour leader from jtb sunrise japan, she is very alert to make sure everyone of us is in the right track, very clear english, good explanation, not a single complain. thanks
I gave this rating a 5 star because I have always loved Japan and was excited to go on a tour. the guide was OK but what made up for the OK tour was the efficiency of the Tour. The Japanese are so organized and we accomplished everything without delay. We had just enough time to do what we needed to see and discuss. I understand that the guide himself was ok because of the size of the group and he had to get information to everyone in a timely fashion. I was delighted to see everything I got to see on this tour. My brother, sister and I got off a tour in China with an amazing guide and I missed not having the same personal and dynamic guy in Osaka.
Hubby and I really enjoyed this tour which allowed us to visit best sites in Kyoto and Nara. Our guide speaks really good English and very funny with her good sense of humor.
this is an excellent tour. You get to see the highlights of Kyoto and Nara. The quality of service is top notch, as you would expect from the Japanese. Highly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.
The gentleman who led us from the meeting point at the hotel to the bus, Mr. Yamamoto (?) is awesome in taking care of us! He is one of the best tour guides! Thanks so much.
In general, the Kyoto tour is worth the money with sightseeing tours, lunch, visiting famous places in Kyoto and Nara.
The pick up arrangement at a near by hotel worked well. All the guides were excellent
Awesome, well-paced tour. The tour guide, Yoshi, was great and friendly and the sights were worth seeing. The tour was on time and well worth the money. The Nara deer were adorable, but very hungry.
This tour was exceptional...so many sites to visit...didn't have a lot of extra time to wander around, but I enjoyed it all.
Wonderful and enjoying trip. The tour guide speak fluent English and she's really experienced. I LOVE IT.
With only a day free in Japan, I'm so pleased I booked this trip. It allowed me to see a lot more in one day than I would have been able to accomplish on my own. The tour guide was well informed and very pleasant. It gave me just enough of a taste to know that I'd like to go back to Japan!
What a fascinating tour! Since the Imperial Palace was closed on a Saturday, the alternative was still fascinating! Beautiful architecture and workmanship visiting the sights on the tour!!! The scenery were of postcard value. in spite of the crowds, the sights were just amazing! It would have been nicer to spend a few more time on each one but nonetheless, the time was enough to take in the commentary and take amazing photos for lovely memories! The deers at Nara Park were amazing!
We got picked up at the hotel by a cheery woman who took us on a train to Kyoto to join the other members of the tour. Our guide was funny and informative, always gave us enough time for photos and to leave the group for awhile. The sites were amazing and very beauti
This trip was excellent and very informative. The guides were very polite and made sure our day trip was memorable.
It was a very good experience. The tour was nice, very well organized and very efficient. The tour guides were professional, explained everything clearly, and had a very accurate timing management.
Thanks Viator and JTB for this wondeful trip.

It was very good as we were able to visit many places. The tour group was just the right number - 6 people so we were able to interact well with each other. The tour guide knew her Japanese history and her humor made the whole tour fun. It would have been better though if the lunch served was Japanese food.
This tour is ideal if you have a limited time to visit, and want to see the highlights of Kansai region. The tour guides were very helpful and knowledgeable. It is well worth the cost and time. They keep you on a tight schedule, but the time allocated was adequate for our interests. The buffet lunch was just okay, though.
I really enjoyed the trips I took with Viator .com and from start to finish the tours and guides really look after you. The guides are really knowledgeable and very friendly. There weren’t many on the tour due to the recent activity in Japan so it felt like you were with a group of friends and not on a tour at all. The buffet was nice too even though some suggest otherwise. I’m living in Korea so a mixture of Asian and western food was a welcomed changed. I can’t really moan about the anything and my highlight was feeding the deer’s… a must thing to do. Thanks for a great memory and I will consider using you again!.
