Panama Canal and Gatun Lake Scuba-Diving Adventure
After a brief safety overview from your guide, dive into the waters of the Panama Canal! Enjoy scuba-diving in a unique location and see old construction equipment submerged after the completion of the canal in 1914. After spending time exploring the canal waters, hop back in your boat and head to Gatun Lake. Eat lunch on board the boat and admire the scenic landscape from the water as you cruise to the lake.
After lunch, explore Gatun Lake, a man-made lake connected to the Panama Canal. Gatun Lake serves as a key component in carrying ships across the Isthmus of Panama. Dive into Gatun Lake and see a variety of French and American dredging equipment submerged here, including drills, boilers and trains. You'll see different types of marine life as you dive around the submerged equipment, including peacock bass. After scuba diving in Gatun Lake, you'll be transported back to your hotel.
