The best part was that they made all the travel arrangements. Accommodations were very good for the overnight stay and bus was comfortable. Two dings were that St Malo and Utah Beach were too touristy without having anything unique over the other sites we visited. Second, I would have liked to have more time in some of the other places (the cemetery, Honfleur) rather than pack extra stops in.
Our guide was good, knowledgeable....

Very good but I would have liked more time in the Normandy invasion area

The places we visited were wonderful, but I did not think we had sufficient time at the cemetary and museum to do it justice. I would have liked to have an hour or two to spend in the museum and learn more about the historic invasion. The commentaries given by our tour guide were very helpful and informative.

The tour was worth doing, but you need to have tour guides who can speak better English. Our guide really tried, but she struggled with her English. Also the tour said that you furnished two breakfasts and two dinners. We received one breakfast and one dinner. The bus stopping at a truck stop for bathroom break and my purchasing my own sandwich and drink for dinner was pretty pathetic. Other than that, it was a nice trip and I got to see a lot of the French countryside, which is beautiful.

Sites were great, but I wasn't to impressed by the tour guide. It really didn't seem like he wanted to be there. I also felt, at times, that he spoke to the group in a condescending manner.

Tour provider was experiencing strike issues, therefore the tour guide chosen to fill in could have been more knowledgeable. Unable to get to Juno beach for us Canadians!

This was a rather expensive two-day trip 526 US although we covered a lot of ground, and viewed an excellent range of attractions, I would have expected a mature, university-educated guide, with a "professional" knowledge level of what we were seeing. Our guide Carlos was a younger French man, and although he was reasonably pleasant, and rattled off all sorts of facts and stories, it would be obvious to anyone who really knew the material in depth that he was no expert, and had simply memorized a canned pitch. One other comment Mont St. Michel is an INCREDIBLY dangerous place, with hundreds of irregular stone steps, many of which have no hand rails, going down. I am 57 and an avid hiker so the problem is not that I'm elderly, weigh 300 lbs., or walk with a cane. But guests should be warned, before going up to the top, that there are significant risks and that great care should be taken when descending those 500 steps. No . . . I didn't fall, but I can't imagine that there aren't accidents all the time.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

This tour was plagued with problems - bus touring up late at start of tour. Bus driver getting sick requiring a substitute driver and late departure on second day. Although delays were unavoidable tour guides did not make up time by reducing time for meals which was excessively long and wasted valuable sightseeing time at the attractions that were being paid for.

Had only 45 minutes from the bus and back to the bus at Normandy. Terrible. Waste of money
