One of the best tours I have ever had.
The guide was gracious and very knowledgable,
Especially about Van Gogh.
Thanks so much!
If it hadn't been for Your company, I never would hade had this experience!
Quaint, amazing, spectacular Giverny, Auvers Sur Oise was interesting and powerful, emotional. Great tour guide Louis! and comfortable vehicle. A great day out!
Gregory was fantastic. He taught us the art of Monet en route to Giverny, and the death of Van Goth en route to burial site. And about history and culture. He was worth it at twice the price. The only downside was he drove like a Parisian! Which was probably good. Gregory corrected the Van Goth Museum in Amsterdam as to where Van Goth shot himself!!! Turns out the Museum was WRONG.
This was our favorite day on our vacation. Herbert was knowledgeable and lovely, the gardens are stunning, and Auvers is humbling. Request Herbert, he really was amazing and we felt like we were on a day trip with a friend. Lunch was delicious and our favorite meal of our entire trip! Worth every penny!
The tour was very good. We only had one other couple with us (4 people) total so it was nice and intimate. Our driver and tour guide Pablo was very knowledgeable. We got out of Paris on time and with no traffic so we were able to get to Giverny ahead of a lot of the large tours.
This was brilliant! Our guide was very knowledgable and friendly and I can not fault a thing about the whole day! He even took us past some Troglodyte caves and pointed out lots of interesting things to see along the way. Lunch was delicious and the time left for us to explore Monet's Garden was perfect.....would definitely recommended it!
Thank you for providing this tour. I lived in France for over 8 years and had considered getting there by train, walking, staying over, etc, etc,. the small all organized tour with pick up at my hotel was just so much easier and allowed for the second site to be explored,
Best lunch whilst in France
Gardens were fantastic as I love Monet
Great experience. Small group definitely the way to go and Fred, the driver, was perfect. The restaurant for lunch was wonderful and the small group again was great as we really got to connect. This was not my first trip to France but my first time in Giverny. The additional trip to Auvers sur Oise made the day even more interesting. Highly recommend.
The highlight of my trip to Paris was visiting Giverny and Auvers sur Oise with Gregory. Definitely recommend.
We loved our day learning about Monet and Van Gogh. Our tour guide, Gregory, had a wonderful sense of humour and much knowledge.
1st class -afraid that we didn't get the guides name but he really was the best.
Great day out, the gardens are magnificent and the tour guide was delightful and informative
Wonderful trip in a nice van with an interesting, knowledgeable guide. Monet's Giverny gardens were a dream come true. Visited gardens in the morning when the light and colors were pretty to photograph the flowers. Luckily got in when crowds were starting to grow from buses of visitors. But go if you want to see the flowers and Monet's home. Lunch on Epp River was delicious and setting was lovely. Afternoon at town Auvers was solemn considering VanGogh's death and grave but felt privledged to go to church he painted and walk around the town. Those who appreciate VanGogh's work should go.
It helped that we had brilliant fall weather--cool and clear. But our guide/driver, Alice, couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. Once we reached our destinations she steered us in the right direction but gave us ample time on our own for independent exploration. Lunch at a mill near Giverny was tasty in a very attractive setting. All in all, a fabulous day we shall treasure.
We had a lovely guide and day. 6 of us were picked up on time and had a very informative day! It was lovely at Giverny and sad at Auvers sur Oise. I know we did Monet's Garden first because of the crowd management, but it might have been better to end on the high of Monet's success rather than Van Goh's seeming failure. Very nice lunch -nice group and great guide. Would recommend highly
Guide was great, cleverly manoeuvring us around the garden areas to avoid the crowded areas. Got to see the sights of the paintings excellent. Lunch area good. Van Gogh footsteps of painting sites a real treat
Inn info very good in telling us about his life. It was good to be pickup and return home
Our guide, Andre, was really excellent. Very knowledgeable and engaging. The Auvers sur Oise part was a wonderful tour, but people should know that parts of it are not suitable for travelers with mobility issues because some of the walking parts are long and on difficult terrain.
Fantastic tour. Gregory our guide was wonderful. Leaned so much about impressionism. Had a great lunch at a lovely place. Van Gogh's grave and getting to sit where he painted the church was amazing. Giverny is so picturesque.I know this is expensive but it was worth it. We had a great group of 8 folks... wonderful day
Our guide, Gregory, was fantastic. This is a terrific way to spend a day outside Paris. We arrived at Giverny Sunday mid-morning, before too many people arrived. We stopped for a great lunch at a charming restaurant in the countryside and continued on to Auvers sur Oise. No crowds there, but the visit to Van Gogh's grave and his room above the tavern add so much to the understanding of his last days. I would highly recommend.
