The guide was very knowledgable and friendly. My friends and I had a great time.
Excellent tour!! We loved being in a smaller group just us and another couple and our tour guide was knowledgeable and very funny. We were disappointed at first that we didn't get to go to Moet and Chandon but we LOVED Mercier and their champagne. We bought a bottle to bring home. The visit to Mumm was fantastic. Seeing where Dom Perignon was buried was fascinating and we loved visiting the cathedral in Reims. We enjoyed walking around Reims and even stopped into a champagne shop and bought some Dom Perignon. I would recommend this tour and Viator. Very professional and organized and an amazing tour. Cheers!

Epernay was beautiful. This is where Dom Perigon invented champagne. Then travel thru vineyards to nearby towns to sample the good stuff. Moet and Chandon were closed for remodeling but the other winery we went to was great. You take an elevator down into the tunnels of fermenting wine. Then you board a small train and a guide gives you the history of Mercier Winery. See the super large barrel of champagne that traveled by oxen to the worlds fair.
Had a fantastic day with 2 other couples. Our guide was terrific! A must do tour...especially if you love Champagne.
Moet is closed due to renovation, only informed after booking the tour. Other than that, love the small tour group and our driver cum guide is very professional.
Wonderful. Our tour guide was very knowledgable and his driving was excellent. We loves this tour.
learnt to appreciate the quality of French champagne. Excellent guide.
Great tour and scenic ride! My only complaint was that we were supposed to see Moet and Chandon, but saw Mercier instead. But Mercier was still fascinating champagne house!
great tour and the guide was great.
it was good that the group was small, it let everyone to get to know each other.
Would highly recommened
Wonderful trip, we made new friends and now appreciate why champagne is so expensive.
We were lucky enough to get a private vehicle for this tour, so it meant that we had Rupert our guide all to ourselves. The champagne houses are amazing and Riems is beautiful. We would never have learnt as much or seen as much if we had done this tour ourselves. Cannot recommend enough.
Tour guide Philip was fantastic I do believe though that visiting Moet and Mumm was pretty much the same experience But if you truly love your bubbles then do it!
I knew it was going to be a good day when the sun came out in April. Very knowledgeable guide and small fun group to share the experience with. If you love champagne like me, you will enjoy learning more about how it is made.
Loved it! Beautiful, informative, and the champagne was delicious!
This tour was a delightful experience. The fact that the "tour bus" accomodated only six of us was a pleasant surprise as it made the trip intimate with a lot of interaction between the excellent driver and all of us. The driver was very knowledgeable about the history of France, the region and the champagne industry.
My traveling companion and I did feel fortunate that the other passengers were delightful folks with whom we had interesting conversations, but that is also facilitated by the small group atmosphere.
The entire process from booking to tour was handled efficiently by Viator. All confirmations and logistics information were emailed in a timely manner so we knew exactly what would happen when and whom to contact with any questions.
Wonderfull tour, a fantastic day trip! Pascal our driver/tour guide was punctual, friendly, informative and gave great commentary as we drove through the countryside. The stop at Reims Cathedral was amazing, and the lunch stop was thoroughly enjoyable. Moet and Chandon was particularly interesting, what a complicated process, and tasting champagnes at their 'birthplace' was excellent, we paid for extra tastings!!
We think Pascal our wonderful tour guide made the long day an absolute pleasure!!
We had a great tour and really enjoyed ourselves. The tour guide was very friendly and informative.
Had a very good guide/driver . His knowledge vast. We also enjoyed a quick visit to Rheims Cathedral excellent . Staff at Moët and Chandon were magnificent couldn't, have asked for more. Moët and Chandon were more personal and cared about there visitors a little more. I would recommend a visit anytime.
Would recommend. This is a great tour as advertised. Moët and Chandon open but our company not notified so we too did Mercier..but definitely not disappointed. Loved Mercier, just disappointed not available in Australia.
Service was prompt, pleasant and informative.
We were picked up from our hotel on time in a mini bus and together with four others our driver drove out of the large city of Paris to the champagne region. We had a great day and enjoyed the beautiful countryside of the Champagne region. Also the tours in the underground cellars were very informative and also again ,not too large a group.
I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit the Champagne region.
Enjoyed our Champagne Tour, though thought the cost was a little high for only visiting two winery's. As Moet Chandon Winery was closed for reno's, we visited Mercier instead, and I must say that this was an excellent champagne house to visited, the tour was excellently presented. Our main aim of this tour was to visit the House of Mumm, but I'm thinking I like the Mercier House better. Anyway, a reasonable tour overall.
Good tour guide who was very interesting to talk to and could speak English well enough to understand. We were given enough time at each stop to enjoy.
We were picked up from our hotel on time and had a quick trip to the Hautvillers giving us the opportunity to see some of the country side and, of course, visit the resting place of Dom Perignon. Moet and Chandon was next with a tour of their cellars and a testing, then off to Reims. Our driver gave us time to stop at the cathedral and explore. We then had a break fro lunch and explore a bit of the town of Reims. Our last stop was Mumm for a tour of their operation and testing. Both of the cellar tours were informative.
The group was the right size, eight people, to get to know each other as we drove for site to site. It would have been great to visit a smaller producer, but there is only so much time in a day. A great experience. A great way to get a feel for the Champagne area and production process.
