We nearly didn't make this tour but the company operators made sure we did, many thanks to them. Fontainebleau is staggering on your senses, the Chateau rooms are more overwhelming than any others I have seen. There was so much to see inside that we didn't get a chance to see the gardens. I would do this tour again.
The tour was an exceptional experience. I enjoyed discovering Fontainebleau at my own pace -- that's my favorite kind of tour. Our guide was exceptionally knowledgeable. Since I'm in second language acquisition, I compliment our tour guide for not only is correct, clear, fluent English but also his mastery of idiom and American culture.
Lovely small tour, the guider is nice and tells interesting stroies.
Excellent trip. Was well worth it. The palace was amazing. Some parts even better than Versailles. Needed more time there, at least another hour would have meant we could have taken a more leisurely tour instead of rushing through. But overall well worth doing.
This was a pleasant tour although a bit distracting as the guide had to speak in Russian and English so it felt like he was rushing through the information, at times. Fontaienbleau was enjoyable and certainly less crowded than Versailles. However it was an hour to the destination and an hour back so the time spent at the venue was much shorter than you expect when booking.
What a fabulous place ! An hours journey from central palace , it was great to be picked up from our hotel . The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly . The only downside to this trip being the short time allowed in the Palace ( just over 1 hour ) as you could easily spend a whole day here .
A good way to see a very historic chateau! Our driver picked us up from our apartment and provided interesting facts about Paris and the history of France, the drive to Fontainebleau was plesent and the van was very comfortable. The self guided tour was imformative and the chateau itself was amazing, after a quick walk around the gardens we were driven back to Paris. A really good afternoon.
This was a really good tour. What an amazing place to visit. The guide gave us a brief introduction to the Chateau and then left us to explore on our own. I would have preferred that he took us all the way through. Great tour though.
I liked being transported in the van to our destination, and I loved the Chateau. Our guide, however, was annoying. His presentations seemed geared to idiots, rather, I should say, he spoke to us as if we were dim witted travelers, with no knowledge of French history. I expected more.
