Trip was great, both Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte are spectacular and well worth seeing. The trip was very easy booked from Australia and well organised when we got to the departure location in Paris. The bus was on time for the return trip back to Paris and for the trip between both chateaux. The explanatory pamphlet distributed at the beginning of the trip with the entry tickets to both locations was easy to understand in relation to the time frames to be adhered to.
It was a great day we enjoyed both chateaux. Our favourite was Vaux le Vicomte a really lovely place in lovely countryside, quiet, unrushed, and not overcrowded. The golf buggy hire to explore the beautiful grounds was a bonus. Fountainebleau was a good as Versailles and minus the masses.
We enjoyed our day .Fontainebleau is not to be missed. It was really impressive..Vaux le Vicomte was nice but I wouldn't go back and visit. It gave us more insight into the inner workings of a chateau(the kitchen, the stables etc.)
Very well organized and professional. We left on time. Was a good combination to see together! My only wish was that we could have see some of the other parts of Fontainebleau rather than just the Grand Apartments.
Everything was exactly as mentioned in the brochure until when the driver was late to pick us up at the end of the tour. He was really late at around 45 minutes late, the whole group was waiting at the side of the road wondering what happen to our coach. No apologize or any words from the driver when he was arrived, which is not right. Other than that the castles are beautiful and very interesting, it is the highlight of my visit to Paris!!
Vaux le Vicomte had a great audio tour. Fontainebleau audio tour was awful.
Our bus driver was excellent.
Very disappointed and surprised that there was no guide on the bus to tell us more about Fontainebleau and Vaux le Vicomte when we got there. If you're just looking for convenient transportation it was fine.
The "tour" was just a bus ride. We were not given any help or information other than where to meet and the time.
The locations that we went to were interesting and audio commentary was about the people and their history not just about the item being viewed.
They just dump you there no help no information. Just another company that does not care. But the sites themselves were great.
I very much enjoyed this trip since our bus was the only one at Vaux Le Vicomte and we had the place to ourselves. I also enjoyed being independent - we were simply dropped off and left for a couple of hours to enjoy the buildings and gardens. The bus driver was prompt.
