My son was traveling around the world and met me in France. We both wanted to see Normandy and the memorials to the US dead, killed liberating France. I am 64 and grew up hearing the stories of the European invasions from uncles and cousins. It was wonderful seeing the actual landscape to understand what they had to deal with. I would say the trip was excellent given that we only had one day to do it in. Naturally, things had to be rushed a little and I don't think that was a bad thing. So any improvement would have to be on our ability to stay longer and not a problem with your program. Your driver was very good at explaining the history to us as we passed through the country side. He was very helpful and willing to slow down to let us take photos when passing a point of interest. I would have to give you folks extremely high marks for the exquisite farm hotel we had our lunch in. The meal was absolutely one of the best I had while in France. The people who served us were very welcoming, the wine was excellent...wow! One other item I feel our driver offered us that was noticed by me he was very good at avoiding the places where the huge tourist buses were stopping. We were at Omaha Beach before all of the big bus tours got there and we were able to reflect on the reality of the landing there without dealing with tons of other people. My son and I found the trip to be very moving and very satisfying. Thank you. High marks from the Woolley family.

We left this tour for the end of our trip and I'm glad we did. It's very emotional to see nearly 10,000 white crosses in the American cemetery. We would have enjoyed spending more time at Juno because we are Canadian. The lunch at ferme de la Ronconniere was the best meal we had while we were in France.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. The van was a little cramped for eight guests and a guide.

Our driver, besides the scenery, was the best thing about the trip. He was fantastic and gave us information all along the way. He was interesting and entertaining, as well as very knowledgeable. The trip is very interesting, although it would have been nice to see a little more of the beaches themselves. However, having done this tour before, but with a different operator, I understand the challenge of seeing everything in a day. If you really want to see Normandy, I would recommend staying overnight. This tour though is fantastic if you're limited in time and want to see the key locations of the D-Day invasion.

We enjoyed the tour, the beautiful countryside and the wonderful lunch. The only suggestion I have would be to allow more time at the American Cemetery, as we did not have sufficient time to walk through the main portion to the end and back in 45 minutes. The trip between Normandy and Paris is 3 hours one way. So, it was a lot of time en route, especially relative to the short visit to the American Cemetery, which was an important part of the day for us. Overall, it was a lovely day.

It was a great day out, and the guide was excellent and very knowledgeable on the subject. However, we pretty much were rushed round the various sites we saw, so I would consider going back on my own and spending a few days there.

Not much time spent at Omaha Beach, in particular, more time would be a little better.

The actual battlefields and landing beaches were breathtaking to see. However, the actual tour guide was not very informed. He drove us to the various locations like Point-Du-Hoc, the US Cemetery, and the museum, dropped us off and gave us a time to return. The tour 'guide' was more concerned about time as opposed to informing the customer.

It was very good to get the other historical points like Joan of Arc, William the Conqueror, Battle of Hastings. My only negative comment regards the fact that we should have stopped on our way up to grab a cup of coffee and use the facilities. That was way too long in the car with no break. A ten minute stop would have made a more comfortable trip. I also wish we would have had more time to go to the beach at the American museum. That was my whole reason for going, to get the beach perspective of the guys coming from the sea. I didn't need to stop at Pegasus Bridge. We could have used that time to visit the beach.
