Normandy is a must-tour for all Americans that visit France. Omaha Beach is so beautiful, yet so many young lives were sacrificed for our freedom and to defeat fascism. The cemetery is breathtaking and I was speechless. Our tour guide was great, and the lunch was the best meal I had while in France. I will book all my tours through Viator next time I go to Europe.

The D-Day tour was everything and more that I expected. Lunch was fantastic. I would recommend the tour to anyone with or without World War II knowledge.

Outstanding. Very long 15 hours but worth it. Great lunch.

Great Trip. Fredrick, our guide, was very knowledgeable and friendly. Information and discussion was excellent on the drive out to Normandy, but pretty subdued on the way back.

This is a nice day trip from Paris if you want to get out of the city. We enjoyed seeing the French countryside and the D-Day beaches are even more moving than we anticipated. We wish we had more time to spend there, but it is a 3 hour drive from Paris and we had to stay on schedule. If we had to do it again, we would probably do an overnight trip in order to take it all in. Lunch was provided and was fabulous! The setting was as good as the food - a very quaint country inn. We really enjoyed this trip.

The company had a strike and we had to take a cab to the main office. They did pay for the cab fare. The only problem we had was they did not call to let us know what was going on. We called and found out that there was a strike. It worked out OK because we took a bus tour instead of the mini van.

Unfortunately, this is a trip you should rent a car and do on your own. And stay in Normandy for several days. A few hours there is just not enough time.

The guide was very knowledgeable and we really liked the smaller scale tour. It definitely felt more personalized. Anyone who is interested in WWII history should take the tour.

Our tour director was very knowledgeable and personable, but the trip was a whirlwind. While the lunch was good, I would have preferred less lunch time and more beach time. It was a long way to go, and after we picked up the others in the group it was after 7:30AM before we left Paris, and we returned around 5:30PM. Should leave earlier to allow more beach time. With the exception of lunch, I felt extremely rushed the entire time. I am glad I went, it just could have been much better.

Despite bitterly cold weather, this was a day to remember. Great guide, very personable and knowledgeable. Meal was good, and and we were lucky to have great tour mates also. Very moving day.

Great experience! I wish the guide had given more commentary and information. But it was worth it anyway.

Our guide was knowledgeable about the history and the area. Lunch was wonderful, and it was also an opportunity to see the countryside.

The trip was very interesting, but for a trip that is 12 hours long, putting eight people in a small minivan is very uncomfortable. We were lucky that two of our group canceled due to health reasons, but it still was cramped with six people.

My son was traveling around the world and met me in France. We both wanted to see Normandy and the memorials to the US dead, killed liberating France. I am 64 and grew up hearing the stories of the European invasions from uncles and cousins. It was wonderful seeing the actual landscape to understand what they had to deal with. I would say the trip was excellent given that we only had one day to do it in. Naturally, things had to be rushed a little and I don't think that was a bad thing. So any improvement would have to be on our ability to stay longer and not a problem with your program. Your driver was very good at explaining the history to us as we passed through the country side. He was very helpful and willing to slow down to let us take photos when passing a point of interest. I would have to give you folks extremely high marks for the exquisite farm hotel we had our lunch in. The meal was absolutely one of the best I had while in France. The people who served us were very welcoming, the wine was excellent...wow! One other item I feel our driver offered us that was noticed by me he was very good at avoiding the places where the huge tourist buses were stopping. We were at Omaha Beach before all of the big bus tours got there and we were able to reflect on the reality of the landing there without dealing with tons of other people. My son and I found the trip to be very moving and very satisfying. Thank you. High marks from the Woolley family.
