I totally loved doing this trip. It meant a lot because my grandpa fought in the war with the allies. I would have liked to make a stop at Juno beach to see where the Canadians landed, I am Canadian. I learnt a lot I never knew. The bus was very relaxing and comfortable. Really really enjoyed it. Great time to reflect and be thankful!

It is very easy to get to the office if you are staying in central Paris (so don't let the early start put you off!) but a taxi is the best way if you're not used to the metro or aren't within walking distance. We enjoyed the 'mini tour' of Paris on the way out of the city. The war museum was not our thing and we would have preferred more time at the American cemetery and maybe actually stopping at the Canadian monument, but overall an excellent trip with a fantastic commentary. If you have time take this tour.

The office to meet the tour was easy to find. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared interesting facts from the time we boarded the bus in Paris, through the French countryside, and throughout the Normandy area. I think the stops were well-timed, and we didn't feel rushed to see anything.
The bus driver is what stops me from giving this trip a higher rating. The bus driver BLASTED a talk radio channel all the way to and from Normandy. We changed seats several times to get as far away from it as we could. We asked the tour guide to ask the driver to turn down the radio, but we could still hear it.
You take your chances with these all-day trips. When they work, they're great. But when they don't work, you're stuck.
