Of all that we did in Paris this was the best tour. The location was easy to find and our tour guide met us promptly before the tour. She provided significant information about what we were to experience and set the stage for a great time. We were fortunate as there were only two us on this tour and so we had a very intimate and informative time. The Chef was engaging, witty and passionate about the subject. This is truly a hands on event and all the better. Our 2 hour tour turned into 3 and we were provide many opportunities to get 'hands on' with baking. Bring your camera as you will want to take many pictures. As part of the tour the Chef puts you on his email list and sends you recipes, tips and ideas on the topics.
Our Chef was engaging and very supportive of our attempts to "bake the bread". If you're in Paris and done with the typical visitor activities, this is the tour that takes you into the heart of Parisian Life, how to make the Baguette and Pastry.

This was the best Viator tour we have taken! It was fantastic and we learned so much about French bread-baking! Now we are anxiously awaiting receiving copies of the recipes so we can try baking more bread! We loved this 'hands on" experience!

This workshop was one of the highlights of our holiday in Paris. Our family had wonderful fun whilst being taught the secrets to the perfect baguette and croissant. The baker and the translator worked beautifully together and we can not recommend this highly enough. Also, our take away treats were very tasty!
This class was simply amazing and more fun than we could have imagined. The coordination between the baker (who doesn't speak English) and our guide, Solene (who was translating) was excellent, so that one always kept pace with the how and why of the process. I attended with my daughter and grandaughter, so there was quite a span of ages, and we all agreed the workshop was one of the highlights of our trip. Even if you don't think you'll ever actually make a baguette at home, (and we're going to give it a try,) this is just too much fun to pass up.
Possibly the BEST thing we have ever done in Paris!! We had a fabulous time and it was a privilege to have the full attention of someone who is so passionate about his products. We learnt heaps but just being able to watch a master baker "do his thing" was priceless. An amazing morning - thank you!
What a morning! How fabulous! One of the best things we did in Paris - a must for every person with a love of the French and French people. A real hands on, fun learning experience - don't hesitate it is worth the money and more!
We had a wonderful baking experience. It was hands-on with excellent instruction. Our translator, Antonia, was very knowledgeable and shared interesting history of baguettes and croissants. They were very patient with us and we laughed a lot! Our only disappointment was that the recipes are not detailed enough and we had some difficulty converting measurements to U.S. We highly recommend this Paris experience!
The opportunity to have a hands on class with an award winning artisan French baker is not to be missed. Even if you don't make your own bread, you will gain a better appreciation of what makes a great bread or pastry. Loved Dittier's humour and his passion for his craft is mesmerising.
This was FANTASTIC. What a great way to see the real Paris. Lovely family owned bakery with tips by one of the top ten Baguette bakers in France. It could be intimidating not to know much of the language, but Antonia was a great translator and Diddier was a very patient teacher. Would love to take another class.
I did 3 tours back to back and this was by far the best one. Really personal, very hands on and such great tips I would never have known. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Charming french-only speaking chef / bakery owner and guide/ translator (in English and Japanese) meeting in the bakery kitchen. Directions and explanations may have lost a bit in the translation. Fun was had by all - including a 15 year old boy and 70 year old man. Left with a bag full of delicious croissants and bagettes.
