Highly recommend this tour. The tasting and class was held at a very nice wine bar and its was very informative. You will be taught about the wine regions in France and how to read a French wine label properly. The pours were very generous and water and bread was included but an optional meat and cheese platter was a wonderful addition. Glad I booked through Viator. I felt the pricing was better through them than paying at the venue.
Out of all the activities we did in Paris ( with exception of dinner on the Eiffel) this was the best. Gorgeous wine cellar, very lovely knowledgeable host, I cant remember his name however, Jonah possibly, American guy...Anyway, really good value for money as we were given a full glass on champagne on arrival, then further two glasses of white and two 3 glasses of red, then a wee top up at the end with complimentary bread also. Learned a bit and a few moves to bluff our way through another tasting :) Really good value for money.
Thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Daniel, our 'guide' was an engaging, knowledgable speaker. The atmosphere was relaxed and convivial and the wines excellent. We learned more about French wine standards. Absolutely recommended!
The wine tasting event was well worth the time and money! It was a nice, cozy, friendly environment, and the host was extremely knowledgeable. The champagne and wine were delicious AND abundant. I highly recommend this event, and the price for a bottle or two is not bad.
a excellent few hours, are wine expert new what he was talking about, and got everyone in the wine and champagne tasting involved ( there were 10 in are group), tasted 1 champagne and 5 different wines, and were told told about about each one and the different regions of france they came from.
also met some great people, if you like wine and champagne you will like this .
also the wine bar it is held in is excellent , stayed there for a hour with a couple who done the tasting
Very fun! Learn a lot about the french wine an Champagne. Wished it lasted longer though. Will do it again.
Unfortunately didn't get to participate in the wine tasting as I was sick that day. However my friends were able to go and they loved it. I will make sure to do this the next time I'm in Paris.
This was one of the best tastings we have participated in. The sommelier was knowledgeable and "demystified" French Wines and taught you about the regions and how to choose a wine. Additionally explained why you will never find the same wine twice, but how to find a similar wine thanks to the AOC system. The venue is great as well and everyone was really friendly and helpful.
This was one of the highlights of our trip. The location was a little hard to get to, but oh so worth it. It wasn't just a typical tasting where different wines are passed out for you to try. Our guide to the time to teach us about the wines we were tasting along with a very nice overview of wines in general. Far exceeded our expectations and I would definitely recommend.
This was one of the highlights of our trip. We learned a great deal from the sommelier, whose presentation was humorous and put everyone at ease. The venue at O Chateau is beautiful and all the staff were very nice and professional. The wine samples were very generous and of excellent quality. There was lots of discussion amongst the participants and many of us went upstairs to the bar to continue our conversations and enjoy another glass of our favourite wine. We met some lovely people, got a wee bit tipsy, and we are very happy we selected this activity.
Our two hours with Quentin passed very quickly as he gave us an informative tour of France's various wine regions. Also learned tips on tasting/evaluating any given wine. Well worth our time!
The wine tasting was definitely educational. Our instructor took the time to tell us about the different regions of France where the wines come from which I really appreciated. The class was mostly Americans. The bar upstairs was very nice with a ton of wines on tap. I would recommend this class to anyone.
