Excellent trip with good introduction to Monet and Giverny on the coach whilst travelling. Very relaxing way to visit this site and to discover more about the artist. Would thoroughly recommend it.
A must see. tour guides very knowledgeable about Paris, the country side and Monet gardens. Plenty of time to wander the gardens and do own thing.
I highly recommend this tour, it was a rainy day when we left Paris but the rain stopped by the time we reached Giverny. The overcast sky made for some stunning photographs of the gardens. The Tour leader's knowledge of Monet, the house and gardens was very good, her instructions were clear and she included some interesting information about the town of Vernon. The Viator office was easy to find, but would suggest checking in early as the room was packed closer to departure time.
A fantastic trip to Giverny..tour guide was pleasant and helpful
Too bad we couldn't have stopped in Vernon for some photos
United Arab Emirates
one if the best tours ever and the rain added an extra special atmosphere to this beautiful garden .. but its better to visit it in spring when all the flowers are blooming. in autumn most of them are died but still we have been very pleased from this trip
We truly enjoyed our trip to Giverny and could see Monet's draw to the area. The water lily pond was amazing. We had been to l'Orangerie and d'Orsay to see the the art of Monet just two days before this trip and then were able to see the inspiration for Monet's impressionism.
I loved this tour and it was the highlight of my week in Paris! You can visualise Monet's paintings as you walk around the garden and I was lucky enough to have beautiful weather the day we went. Giverny is a great town and I would have loved more time to explore the place further. Don't debate whether or not you should do it - just book it in. You won't regret it.
Great way to visit Monets Garden. Bus there and back, plenty of time to wander through garden and house and take lots of photos. Very well organised tour, love Viator tours, have done quite a few in different countries. Always excellent tours and tour guides.
Loved the waterlilies! It was like being in one of his paintings. The guides were informative during the ride out to Giverny. We were escorted through the waterlilies, on our own to explore the gardens and house, then met to go back to the bus. It was an amazing summer morning. Worth taking a tour instead of finding our way on our own.
This was brilliantly and breathtaking so if you're a Monet fan it should not be missed!
Very good! Bus trip wasn't too long, tour of gardens was just what I wanted. A chance to walk around
and take pics and go through the house, and walk around in the shop. Enjoyed this tour.
Beautiful home and garden. The bus basically takes you there and then you are on your own to look at the house, gardens, and town. The guide only gives you info. as you are riding the bus there, so don't expect more when you get to the house.
THIS IS NOT A 5 STAR REVIEW. Viator sorts its reviews by the number of stars. The only way to see the bad reviews is to scroll through 300+ reviews to find them. This trip was a disaster. The bus broke down. We waited over 2 hours in the sun on the side of the road waiting for another bus to make the 1 hour drive back to Paris. That bus' air conditioning was not working and the driver got lost. We were told that our only compensation/recourse was to fill out a complaint form. I have waited 10 days for a response from the tour company or Viator, but have recieved no response. Caveat Emptor! If your trip is a disaster you are simply out your money. Not the way I had hoped to be treated.
Loved our trip to Giverny. It was our first day in Paris. The bus went through the heart of Paris on the way there giving a great tour of Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysees. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and gave a history lecture on the way there. Once there they suggested we go to the Japanese gardens first because the line into the house was so long. By the time we got back the line to the house was considerably shorter. As we left at the end of the day the line to get in was very long, way down the block. We were so glad to be with a group and go right in. On the way back to the city,, they took a different route along the Seine, going by the Eiffel tower. It was a great way to start our trip.
