Great half-day tour. Our guide was engaging and friendly. We had intentionally visited the Orsay and Orangerie museums prior to the tour. Going to Giverny to stand in Monet's garden where he painted his Water Lily paintings was a wonderful experience.
We had a wonderful trip to Giverny. Our driver Magnus pick us up at our apartment in a spotless comfortable van and the short drive was very pleasant. We spent plenty of time in both the water gardens and toured Monet's home and studio, then walked to an impressionist exhibit that was beautiful with many of the American impressionist painters. It was the icing on the cake. Loved the tour. It was great!!!
The weather was great, the garden superb and our guide Claudio really looked after us.
We all enjoyed our trip back to Paris via the countryside. Would recommend this wo all travellers.
What a wonderful place to visit , excellent guide- knowledgeable and fun
Our trip to Giverny and Monet's guardian could not have been nicer. Our driver was friendly and punctual. He was also most helpful when we got to Giverny, giving very clear information about what there was to see as well as the time and place we should meet him for the return trip to Paris. We very much enjoyed the experience!
My trip to Giverny, provided by Viator was everything I could have hoped for. The driver was on time, picked us up at our hotel as previously arranged, got us to Giverny without any problems and gave us insight to our surroundings on the way there and back. Giverny itself was amazing. The gardens were so beautiful and well kept, and the colors were enough to inspire anyone to paint, photograph and create, whether possessed with talent or not.
There were many crowds of people there the day we went, which was a little overwhelming. But everyone behaved and the flow of people throughout the gardens and the house was manageable. Our tour was in the afternoon, from a perspective of crowd control, it might be better to book in the morning.
Thank you Viator for a lovely day.
Our tour guide, Fred was friendly, spoke good English and navigated some horrendous traffic conditions, particularly on the return journey. The Gardens were picturesque and very interesting. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute of the gardens.
The tour was wonderful. The guide was great. I was amazed how many languages she spoke. My husband, my daughter, and I were delighted we took the tour. The size of the group was perfect. Highly recommend this tour.
All aspects of the tour were excellent. The booking was well handled, including the arranging of the pick-up at a local apartment. The driver was prompt, and provided excellent tour background information. He gave us a good description of the house and gardens, arranged the return meeting point and time clearly, and directed us the entry point. One minor criticism...he described the museum as small. But it is not really so small and we did not leave enough time at the end of the tour to fully enjoy all the content of the museum. An unexpected highlight was the return trip, which the driver selected through some of the small but very picturesque villages off of the main highway. And the driver even managed to keep the threatening rain away...as a result we had a thoroughly enjoyable trip into the Normandy countryside.
We were fortunate to have the perfect day and the perfect season to see Giverny and Monet's Garden. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed touring Monet's home. We could live there!! The trip to and from the gardens was a no-hassle way to go - thank you Viator!
The car was most comfortable and the Driver Stephanie very helpful, the weather was wonderful as were Monet's gardens and house. The house was rather crowded and not easy to get around but
everything esle was made very easy, with the ticket for the museum included. I was disappointed not be able to buy postage stamps for the cards I bought at the house shop and the museum would only sell me stamps if I bought yet more cards. I ended up having to bring the cards home. to post. But the tour was lovely.
Knowledgable guide, perfect way to get to Giverny, small group was AOK, 1/2 day AOK but too short considering the crowds on a Saturday!
