This was a great experience from start to finish. Simon, our guide picked me up promptly. He was friendly, well versed, and gave great directions and information throughout our excursion. The gardens are lush and pretty. Waterlilies and bridges and house did not disappoint. Hint : visit the Waterlilies at the Orangerie, Paris, as well to appreciate the genius of this painter. I learned so much from Simon. Great afternoon!
Fred was our excellent tour guide, his knowledge was interesting and the return drive through the little villages was charming. He even took care to keep the windshield clean as I took photos!
The gardens in early Spring are truly beautiful and the 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed this excursion out to Giverny even tho it took us an hour by mini-van to go. Being seniors, it was an advantage to go with a small group tour since the mini-vans can take you up close to the gates and also convenient for pick-up. Also, the small group allows better communication with the guide and other fellow travelers. David, our driver and guide did an excellent job of introducing the region as we rode to Giverny and informed us about Monet in English and then for the sake of a Spanish speaking couple, would explain in Spanish. I found that he was so knowledgeable, educated, and doing all that explaining while still doing a good job at driving. Earlier, in the morning, David did our City Tour by mini-van and just by coincidence, after we had had our lunch he had come with the van again to do our excursion out to Monet's Garden. Believe me, the excursion out to the Garden is a Must-see event for those who enjoy flowers. When we were there, the tulips and early Spring flowers were in full bloom. I can imagine that whenever you see the garden, it'll be different in another special way. Actually, we were on our way home from a River cruise to the Floriade in Venlo, Nehterlands and whereas their tulip and flower displays are more planned and uniform, Monet's garden has a charming natural randomness to it, yet you know that there must be a special plan to it all.
Fabulous excursion to Giverny. The minibus was clean and roomy. Our driver introduced us to the many towns along the way from Paris to Monet's beautiful garden. When we arrived, we were taken directly to the entrance and did not have to wait in the long lines. We had plently of time to visit the town and other museums. Our driver was exactly where he indicated at the time he told us. Perfect way to sightsee, especially outside of the city limits of Paris. Your time is spent comfortably viewing sites as you drive directly to Giverny
Great tour, guide very friendly, knowledgeable about the garden and the region, time to walk around the village
We were picked up right on time from our Paris hotel. Our guide was just lovely - friendly and extremely knowledgeable and her driving excellent. We had sufficient time at Monet's garden to see everything we wanted to see and would highly recommend this trip to anyone staying in Paris who want to visit this little piece of heaven.
We would highly recommend this tour. We were able to explore the garden, Monet's house and the museum at our leisure, and spend more time in one location that the other if we chose to do so.
We had a lovely afternoon visiting Monet's Garden, although we were both a little disappointed in the overall garden itself. But our experience with Viator was an excellent one. Our tour guide Hubert was attentive, humourous and knowledgeable and we found the service provided by Viator excellent. We would certainly book with them again.
The Gardens were beautiful and the drive through the french countryside was worth seeing. This should be on must see list of anyone who appreciates art and nature! You will enjoy the beauty and serenity of Monet's garden at Giverny.
