This tour makes for a marvelous introduction and overview of three of the most significant chateaus in the Loire region and if you have only a limited time to spend in the Paris vicinity, I highly recommend it. Please be advised, however, this is not a 'guided' tour per se. The driver provides information on the chateaus during the ride but once you arrive you are on your own.

Our guide was very good - lots of knowledge about the sights we were going to see, and how they related to French history. The visit to the 3rd castle felt a bit rushed, but otherwise was a really good day.

The mini bus was 15 minutes late but the driver called our hotel for that. We had total of six in the mini bus we had about one and a half hours for each chateaux, just enough time to explore on our own. Lunch was excellent at a very small restaurant. Due to our small number we could zip through traffic and back to our hotel by 7 pm instead of 9 pm in big buses.

The tour of the castles was definitely worth the trip. However, if you are going to advertise English only trips then that is what they should be. Our guide was at best half fluent in English and 4 of the 8 in the van only spoke Spanish, which our guide spent most of the trip speaking in.

I was not impressed with the Chambord. It might be nice at a different time of year but winter is not an ideal time to visit this castle.

It's definitely worth seeing. The group was a good size.

Extremely well organised trip to the Loire Valley. The tour guide was well informed and didn't overload us with too much detail about the history of the chateaus we visited. The lunch was beautiful. My only suggestion for improvement would be to cut one of the chateaus from the tour as the day was quite long.

Our driver-guide was fantastic. It was a very long trip, but definitely worth the time. Bus was neat and comfortable, much better than a large bus. Being picked up at the hotel was excellent and not having to change to another bus was a plus. Everyone in the van really enjoyed themselves.

It was a great time. The guide was knowledgeable and the castles were amazing. It would have been great to skip the lunch and spend more time at Chenonceau, as the castle and the grounds were amazing, and they had wine tastings on the estate.

It was OK, but could have been better

The trip to the Loire Valley was 3 hours each way. The guide got lost and had to ask directions. Then, we were rushed through our castle visits. Lunch at the golf club was good, but we didn't need to spend so much time there. We would have preferred more time at the chateaux. We were threatened with being left behind if we weren't on time. The guide was a tiny bit cranky. The villages we passed through were charming. I would like to go back and spend time at a B&B there and just drive around. How many castles do you need to see, anyway.

There was no wine tasting as promised in the ad at booking time. The restaurant was terrible and did not accommodate our party who 3 of 6 were allergic to seafood. Gave them 2 runny fried eggs and refused to allow them to order off of the regular menu. Far too much money was paid for this trip for what was given to us.

The chosen castles were not that great. Driver was very knowledgeable, however, driving skills made everyone car sick with his gas pedal, on and off, on and off couldn't wait to get back to the hotel!!! Also, too much "guide talk", not enough time to just roam on your own. Not the worth the money at all.
