The guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Minivan was comfortable.
The tour was wonderful. Having lunch at Chenonceau is an unforgettable experience. The only thing I would change is visiting Amboise. I would switch it to a different more beautiful chateau. Out tour guide was wonderful and kept us entertained during the trip with the history behind the castles. I recommend this tour to anyone who hasn't been in the Loire Valley before.
Guide showed up on time and was friendly and driving a nice mini-van. Can't imagine trying to do this on my own. All three castles were spectacular and worth seeing. Lunch was at one of the castles and was very upscale. Well worth you time!
HUbert was an excellent guide. The Chateau were beautiful and the lunch at Chenonceau was superb. A great tour!
The chateaux were historic and beautiful. Our guide, Hubert, was knowledgeable and humorous. The lunch at l'Orangerie at Chenonceau was excellent. A bit of a long day but worth I t.
What a wonderful day trip! Our guide was so knowledgeable and engaging! I highly recommend this excursion, in fact, if I am fortunate enough to visit France again I will take this day trip a second time.
Fantastic trip The Chateaux were amazing.
Very good commentary on the bus, then we were able to visit at our own pace.
Delicious lunch at the Orangarie Restaurant at Chenonceau.
Best tour of my life! It was so magical seeing all the castles and the tour guide was professional and very nice. Love how private the tour was, I was picked up and drop off in my hotel made me feel no worries at all. It was the best!
This was a small van tour with total of 7 people (4 in our party) plus tour guide. The tour guide gave us great insight into the stories behind the three chateuas we visited and there was ample time to explore. The lunch at Chenenceau was excellent and we had a full day of seeing and learning about the great castles of the Loire Valley. Only issue is to be preapred for a 21/2 hour trip from Paris but it is well worth the time.
This tour was fabulous. Our guide Herbert was so knowledgeable about French history and regales us on the approx 2 hour drive to the first castle Amboise after picking us up at our hotel (so convenient!). The castles were fascinating;each one had a different feel-basic medieval to utterly charming.
Fabulous!!! Everything you hope this tour would be. The guid Herbert was supper knowledgable, funny, respectful and accommodating. I would spend little less time in Chambord if I could cause there isn't much to see but the other 2 were amazing, I could stay there all day. The lunch was fantastic. This booking is worth every penny.
Guide was very intelligent and interesting in himself but also gave a complete overview of the castles.
Very glad to work with Viator.
Wonderful loved every minute and our tour guide was wonderful and made the trip perfect
This was an outstanding trip. The three chateaus we visited were very interesting and the audio guides were helpful. The guide was outstanding. Pedro was very friendly and knowledgeable about the Loire area. He made the long drive very enjoyable and the time went by quick. He also did his homework on the scuttle about the inhabitants of the chateaus . . .very juicy stories. Some of the best photos I took on my trip overall were taken at the chateaus in the Loire valley.
We had a group of 4 in the minivan with a guide/driver who was knowledgeable, very pleasant and worked hard to make sure that each passenger had a great tour.
The guide was prompt, friendly and gave us a very good trip. We got a lot of sightseeing in one day. This is about the only way to see the Loire Castles in a day trip from Paris.
One of the best trips I have ever had with Viator . The small group makes you get the attention of the tour guide . He was very knowledgable and punctual . The lunch was so good . We visited 3 palaces . During the 6 hours driving going and coming back . During periods he was focusing on driving I wish they have had light music to play. Over all it was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend
I would most definitely recommend this tour!! The guide was excellent, friendly and provided a number of interesting facts about each of the castles! They were each very different and unique. The lunch was absolutley delicious. Really appreciated being picked up and dropped off at my hotel.
Our trip was amazing, a great guide who was able to speak clearly and concisely about our day, where and what we were doing, and the important facts. The 3 castles we went to are a reflection of differing current ownerships, and are a contrast to each other. The transport was by minibus, which was new, and we were part of a small group of 6. It was very personal, and great not to be amongst a big crowd.
We were three sisters visiting Paris - with the Loire Valley high on our list of places to see. We loved it ! Natasha our driver was wonderful, she was friendly and informative and helped make the day great. The Amboise Castle was lovely - as was the Village of Amboise itself - what a quaint and picturesque place to visit. We absolutely loved the Chateau Chenonceau, the chateau was sensational, the gardens stunning, and our lunch at the restaurant very delicious. We didn't particularly enjoy the Chateau Chambord - we would have preferred to have spent the time at Da Vinci's garden or have more time in the Village of Amboise. That said, we would still highly recommend the tour with your company.
My daughter and I have a wonderful experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the chateaus and the history of the area. We were picked-up and returned on time to our hotel. All in all a lovely day in the Loire Valley!
We were picked up in a new Mercedes three seat van. Only one other couple. This van had huge windows all round and glass roof great views. Good guide /driver we moved very quickly to furthest castle and were the first there Great to miss the crowds who we encountered only on the last visit. The meal at Chenonceau was very good. Not cheap but we got value and saw what we paid for
