Guide was excellent and informative, tour was comprehensive and interesting..anyone who has been there before or for the first time, this is what you want a tour to be..very good and the guide was just what was needed.
Wonderful tour! Advertised as a walking tour but easily managed and at a very relaxed pace with standing rest stops. Bertrand, our tour guide was fabulous. The informative tour brought to life the era of the impressionists. We went to the museum that afternoon and it was a terrific way to reinforce and relive the tour. Bravo!
Loved our tour guide, Mathilde and even though it was a bit chilly we enjoyed every minute of it!
It was beyond our highest expectations. Our Guide was superb. We hope to use her services again. Anyone interested in Impressionism should take this tour.
this was one of the best things we did on our t rip--guide was funny and knowledgeable and it was a lovely place to walk and learn. She gave us helpful advice for time on our own and very good information about the impressionists in Montmartre. Musee d'Orsay tickets were great to avoid the lines and this museum was very user friendly--sitting areas, crowd control--spacious.
My daughter and I spent 6 days in Paris and this tour was the highlight of our trip! Timothy was our guide, and the other people did not show up, so we had him all to ourselves! Timothy was not only personable, but incredibly knowledgeable as well. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Paris.
The tour of Montmarte was great and the guide was exceptional.
Wonderful guide,,,,small group of four. Her English and knowledge of the subject was excellent.
The best tour we took with Viatour.
Our tour guide was knowledgable and a pleasure to be around. Would highly recommend to anyone. Thanks.
This was by far the best tour guide ever! Olivier was passionate, knowledgable and so energetic, it made the fact the we were in pouring rain and walking up hills actually enjoyable. Would not have been possible if not for this terrific young man! Only criticism is the fact that I saved going to the musee d'orsay for monday after Oliviers terrific tour because that is how it should be done- HOWEVER did not read the fine print which states that the museum is CLOSED on Mondays!!! Since was leaving the next day, could not utilize the tickets!! Good news is that they are good for one year and can be given to anyone BUT missed seeing this very important museum. So take the tour, request Olivier but not on a Monday unless you can go another day.
Lucky for us we happened to be the only two people on the tour. Our guide was excellent, prompt and interesting. His English was excellent. We would definitely book with Viator again.
We were met by an amazing young French women who was our guide for this tour. She was very informative, very patient, very charming, and we loved every minute of the time we spent with her. We are both in our sixties, and slow to move, and she was very responsive to our needs. The tour took us through the heart of Monmarte, and the commentary was fantastic. We are very interested in Impressionist Artists and this gave us a huge insight into the haunts and homes of these artists. Our tour guide then took us via the Metro the the Musee d'Orsay where we spent the remainder of the afternoon. Would highly recommend this wonderful walking tour of the most gorgeous part of Paris.
An great tour of an old area of Paris. Our guide Tim did an excellent job. He provided a great deal of insight to the area and its history. You'll find the Moulin Rouge, areas where the Impressionist painters got their start, as well as Sacre Coeur, the church that overlooks the city. The area is dotted with cafes and shops. If you wanted to get a feel for the real Paris it's a very worthwhile tour.
Great, informative walking tour off the tourist track. It was great to see a a glimpse of the original Montmarte. The Musee d'Orsay entrance ticket is a great addition to the walking tour!
The Impressionist walking tour was a highlight of the visit to Paris. A well crafted journey through time, and around Montmartre that shone a light on the life and times of the artists and their community. Our guide kept the pace light, and the history easy to absorb (he also kept us in the shade - it was a hot day!) Chris, UK
