A must on our list...would have loved to know that it was included in the Paris Pass, so that the additional expense would not have been made. The cafe in the building had especially tasty meals, with a beautiful view of the city.

Many French citizens said the view from Montmarte and Sacre Coer is better, but I enjoyed Montparnasse Tower. You take the elevator to the 56th floor which is temperature controlled and has an overpriced cafe. There are map guides at different angles so you know what you're looking at. Best of all, you can take the stairwell up to the 59th, aka rooftop helipad!

Didn't have to queue for long and the view was breathtaking. A definite substitute for the Eiffel Tower if time is precious.

We were there at a great time of year. Not yet high tourist season so it was very quiet. We were afforded plenty of time and space. The only inconvenience was that the souvenir shop was closed midweek and because of high winds the roof top was off limits. However, the top floor was more than good enough for a spectacular view of beautiful Paris, taking photos was great and the restaurant served amazing food at very reasonable prices.

Great views, gives a different vantage point than the Eiffel Tower but if you were choosing one or the other I'd go for the Eiffel Tower with the added attraction of the views of the boats on the Seine. You DO however get a great view of the Eiffel Tower from the Montparnasse Tower.

This is the best €10 you will spend in Paris; just the ride in the fastest lift in Europe is great, and it takes you to the best view of Paris. Take your time, have lunch and a beer, and enjoy the view.

As I couldn't get into the Eiffel Tower this was a great backup. The views were sensational.
