This was a very special and moving day. Our tour guide, Aymeric, was outstanding. We had lunch at a wonderful old French farmhouse converted into a hotel. Would highly recommend this tour and if possible, request Aymeric as your tour guide.
Tour guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable which made the trip very interesting.
What a tremendous day. My wife and I chose the minivan along with 4 others, and we were all picked up at our hotels around 6:50 AM. The girl driving did have a heavy French accent, but that was the only "down" side. Half way to Normandy, we stopped for gas, toilets and croissants.
Point deHoc was very moving, as was Omaha, Juno and Gold beaches. The German bunkers were remarkable - very thick reinforced concrete - 4-5 feet thick. The lunch was excellent. The American cemetery was certainly the most emotional stop.
About 7 PM we were back at our hotels - it was certainly worth the money.
the trip and especially our wonderful guide made this a memorable experience.
Excellent tour, great guide, somber remembrances. This is the way to see the area with limited time.
A long day, however, our tour guide was lovely and very informative and helpful. The amount of time spent at each venue was just right and we would recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history of D Day.
Enjoyed this tour very much as I am a history buff. The bus comfortable and air-conditioned, guide very informative ... and patient. It was a long day but being able to see where "The Longest Day" took place, was well worth it.
I happened to visit on the Anniversary of D Day and nothing could prepare me for the impactful emotions I was met with when I stood amidst the memories and spiritual atmosphere set at this Memorial. The sheer magnitude of walking the same piece of earth of those that made the ultimate sacrifice in order to safeguard the Freedom was truly a lesson in humility and standing there amidst the many graves of so many selfless, brave, extraordinarily men inspires you to want to be a better person. We owe them that for the sacrifice they made. I could not stop the flow of tears as I heard our National Anthem played throughout the Memorial. This was a trip every American should make.
It was a great trip to Normandy! The dinner at noon was fantastic and the coach was very comfortable.
We knew this was a trip we wanted to take while staying in Paris for a week. What we didn't know is how impactful this tour was going to be. Isabel, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and such a great orator. We hung on every word of her historical accounts as we drove through the countryside outside of Paris. So many events unfolded right before our eyes at the museum and the beaches. I have tears in my eyes just thinking about the loss of lives. I highly recommend this tour. We used the pick up and drop off option and everything went off without a glitch. You will not be disappointed with this tour.
