Fabulous afternoon of culinary experiences. Dominique was excellent as both a chef and a conversationalist. I learnt a lot and had the chance to learn how to make true French desserts. Merci!
Loved meeting Dominique and his family and seeing how young Parisians live. The class was fun and the desserts amazing. Can't wait to try them at home.
This was one of the highlights of the week. We went to the chef's home and he gave the lesson in his kitchen. Two other people joined us. It was very informative in terms of what ingredients one should choose, how to use them and how to mix them. The end product three desserts was delicious.
Marthe was patient, informative and made this course fun!!!! she is a wonderful lady and we enjoyed her hospitality as well. I would recommend her.
This was a huge highlight on our trip to Paris. Dominique Dury was welcoming and the desserts that we made were amazing. The organization of this venture, and the directions and instructions provided by this site for this activity were excellent! I would suggest that this is a 'must' thing to do when visiting Paris.
The recipes were immediately emailed to us and desserts were throughly enjoyed at our lesson and back at our hotel room. Many thanks!
Our family loved the cooking class and our chef was wonderful!! I would recommend as a great thing to do on your trip with your family. So interesting to see a Paris apartment and how Parisians live.
Chef Frederick was truly awesome. The class was held in his professional kitchen in a high rise with a breathtaking view of Paris. The instruction was directed to the three teenage girls while their families looked on and cheered. It was a totally hands on 3 hour class with instructions being very clear and delivered with lots of humor. Three scrumptious desserts were prepared which were savored by all present at the end of the class. The remaining portions were divided and boxed to go. I would recommend this class without any reservations. Ummmm- maybe one. We were promised the recipes to be received by email, but that did not happen! We are stll anxiously awaiting!
This was definitely one of the highlights of our honeymoon trip. We weren't sure what to expect and thought we would be wtih a group, so we were delightfully surprised when we showed up at the chef's apartment and it was just the chef and the two of us. We made three desserts, and just had a wonderful, delicious, relaxing afternoon with Chef Dury! Chef was well prepared, had all of the ingredients ready to go, was great about explaining everything to us, spoke English well, and was very helpful with directions back to our hotel after we left. This was truly a memorable experience which I would highly recommend to anyone!
a must do if your in Paris fun fun. my grand daughter and I did this and made some great desserts. would do it again.
The cooking class was great, we had a lot of fun making our own desserts and eat them. The teacher was experienced, fun, friendly and very knowledgable. Would definantly recommend it to dessert and pastry lovers.
Instructor was lovely but provided only 1 1/2 hours of very basic presentation of 3 very simple cakes, done
quickly without providing any new experience or learning new techniques, any hands on experience other than the most basic, and only for one of the two of us present.
Quite disappointing, as we eally expected more, and to have the time we paid for used. We were promised recipes and four days later have not received them.
We did not have Marthe, we had Fredric as our Chef. The class was suppose to be about 3 hours long, well it lasted less than 2 hours. In addition, we did not get a chance to really cook/bake much of anything. He did just about everything, so we did not get a chance to experience the joy of succeeding or failing. I would not recommend this class to anyone!
