Read what other Viator.com travelers think about the Paris Hop-On Hop-Off Combo: Sightseeing Bus and Seine River Cruise. What they loved, what they liked and what they think could be improved, it's all here to help you make the most of your next trip.
Both the bus, tour and river were amazing. We loved the experience and the simplicity of finding the buses.
Good way to an overview of the city. Of course traffic can make it drag a bit.
Great way to get around the city! The buses have little heat and are very cold in the chilly months.
We enjoyed getting a overview of the city and being able to get on and off on our own schedule. Be aware that the last bus of the day stops at the number one stop so you may end up a fair distance from your destination if you are planning to go to a certain stop. The Seine River cruise seemed as though it was just transportation as there was no commentary.
The hop on/off experience itself it good. However, there are multiple buses that perform this service so when asking locals about it, you are misled to one of the other services. the information said to jump on any bus and start your tour but that did not happen for us. one driver shut refused to open his door for us and waved frantically at us when we tried to board. then the next driver kicked us off and I think was telling us we had to start at the visitor center but we don't speak French : Then the next bus FINALLY let us get on and kindly allowed us to ride it to the Visitor's center but said we had to get off and get something different printed which we did. it added about an hour and a half to the start of our day in Paris. Which is unfortunate as Paris is so large and there's so much to see! Thankfully the rest of the time worked better and after we had the maps we loved the 3 different systems that covered the entire city - other services only do the central part and you don't get all the museums and Sacre Coeur like this tour provides : I would recommend listing the main visitor center on the voucher and maybe just having everyone start there with maybe directions in case there are more rude bus drivers :
Simply not worth the money in the slow season. I really wanted this to work but busses come every 30 minutes (or 20 or 45) with no real set schedule. You will waste far too much time waiting and riding. Also, they stop RIGhT at closing time leaving you wherever you are. We still had to pay for cabs!
This bus was not as good as THE BIG BUS as it did not have a map on their web site to show where to get this bus, which made it hard to find. Also it finished at 6pm, so we had to find our way home via different transport.
missed out on the first day of our two day ticket due to late arrival of airport shuttle bus to our hotel and difficulty locating bus stop. it's also difficult to work out the best stops to transfer onto another tour.
Waited 1 hour for blue and orange lines at notre dam. Totally sucks!!!
Green and yellow Lines great.
Worst hop on hop off ever! Bus was always late. The drivers let us wait more than 45 mins On a stop. Another bus driver input the wring tour type... Incompetent... Just take the metro, not worth your money... Worst thing we did in paris.
I don't recommend it. The bus was so dirty and the driver was alone organizing people and colecting money from tickets, so he took time in these activities and every turist in the bus needed to wait. Some times I needed to wait until 1 hour for the next bus.
Open tour bus wouldn't reprinted a copy of our bus tickets even when I showed them printed copy that I bought them for 3 days. They give you printed receipts which obviously would tend to loose them or get then wet with the rain. They need to definitely design a better system or to be more flexible
