Pass everyone’s favorite architectural icon – the Eiffel Tower – and see UNESCO World Heritage-listed Notre Dame Cathedral. Get a glimpse into upmarket Parisian life while traveling through the streets of swanky Saint-Germain des Prés, passing prestigious museums like Musée d’Orsay. Your sightseeing tour finishes near the Eiffel Tower.
Tour Including Seine River Cruise with Aperitif:
Upgrade to include a 1-hour Seine River cruise with your tour! After leaving your minibus, your guide will give you your cruise ticket and directions to the boat meeting point. Hop on board your sightseeing boat and see more top Paris attractions from the water, while enjoying a hot crêpe and an apéritif of Champagne, wine, or a Kir Royale (blackcurrant liquor with sparkling wine). Listen to entertaining audio commentary and see all the sites along the UNESCO-listed banks of the Seine River, including the Louvre Museum and Notre Dame Cathedral.
Excellent tour with a very knowledgable guide!! I liked the seating capacity much
better than large tour busses. It made the tour more personable. The slide-open
roof was an exceptional feature.
Wonderful introduction to Paris. Our guide, Steffi, was witty, well-informed, and a delight to be with for the three hours of the bus tour. Her knowledge of Paris is extremely thorough, as is her knowledge of French history. We learned a long time ago that buildings and monuments are more interesting in the context of the history that created them, and Steffi filled in all sorts of historical details. In addition to the core information, she told little known stories and gave us off-beat facts about what we were seeing.
As an added example of how good a guide Steffi was, on the day of our visit, Queen Elizabeth II was in town for a parade and to have a flower market on the Isle de Cite renamed after her. As a consequence, there were traffic congestion and detours everywhere. Steffi didn't bat an eye. Every detour was filled with details of what was important about that street and what had occurred historically in those locations even though the street we were on was not part of any official tour. We highly recommend this bus tour.
The Seine river cruise was an add-on run by Bateaux Vedettes and was extremely forgettable. The sound system was aimed upwards for some reason, so the people on the bridges got to hear the sight descriptions better than we did.
