Learned so much from our guide Homaine (?), he had such a great sense of humor making our morning art walk fun. Wear comfortable shoes, lots of cobblestones. Beautiful views, it was a clear day but very cold. It was so nice to have a guide making it so enjoyable. Went to O'ssay after and then did an evening art walk from the Louvre which was also interesting but very cold, afterall it was Christmas and New Years. A full day of art!
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, taken in September 2014, as it took us to places which we'd never have found had we gone on our own. The Guide had a very evident interest in and comprehensive knowledge of the subject and the district, which really put the relationship between the artists and the places visited into context for us. For those wishing to understand the influence the location and times had upon the Impressionist artists, this tour is highly recommended. Susan and Brian Russell, Queensland, Australia
These two tours really made our first full day in Paris memorable, and had the added benefit of making us much more comfortable with the city and what it had to offer. Both guides were amazing -- so friendly and very knowledgeable about their respective areas. I especially enjoyed Montmartre -- as a little part of the city it made me feel at home, and our guide, Marion made the tour extra special. She was a real treat. I couldn't be more delighted with Viator's tour packages. Thanks for making our Paris trip amazing!
We were quite pleased with both tours. Both leaders were articulate and shared lots of information. It was a wonderful last day in Paris.
History of the Montmartre area is very interesting. Good overview of the Impressionists and their environment.
This tour is split into two parts of the day, morning and evening. We toured Montmartre in the morning, nice little walking tour. At the end of the morning tour our guide gave us our tickets to the Museum de Orsay which we could use any time during our trip. We really liked that option, we didn't have to go that very day so we saved it for a cloudy day.
The evening tour was not exactly what we thought it would be, but that's probably our fault. Our guide did a good job of explaining things in the St. Germain area, just didn't thrill us very much.
